Is it me, or did JT Miller come across as a complete __________ @$$#ole during his pre game interview.

Aman was the only player in the young stars tourney that I noticed. He was just sound. A few risky offensive plays, but those mess ups were countered by his excellent defensive play. I think that kid has a great upside. Especially if he's around petey, podz and hog. He can probably elevate his game beyond 3rd line.

I spent 200 bucks for sportsnet to watch the games. Anybody feel like giving me a refund????

They didn't play their hearts out, that's why the crowd is booing. Demko looks like crap and fully defeated....dejected......done.

Been listening and watching this team my whole life. I was born in Surrey the day after they were awarded the franchise. I think it is almost time to look for a new franchise to follow. This is just disgusting.

Can someone make a JT lowlight reel? I spent all summer watching highlight reels. I need something to bring me back down to reality.

Daaamn. I didn't know anything about him. If he was a kid, he could be groomed. Being 28 the writing is almost on the wall. I don't think many evovle after that point.

The goalie did well. Admirable. Can tell he hasn't had the big league training though. Some of his positioning was off. His awareness was nowhere near an elite goalie. A little small as well, but he had some great compete and some excellent reads. Don't think he will ever be a starter, but he could be a decent third string, with enough developement.

I remember a few years where we stomped the pre-season competition......and that's about all we did for the rest of the year!

By comparing to seasons of the past just for fun. How do you think we will fare?

Wow, you are a super fan. I just became a fan of yours. This collection could probably be a whole gallery itself. Donating it would be amazing. Even to the Canucks and maybe they could line the concourses with all these amazing pieces.

Lots of times I do buy into the hype of rabid fans. At the draft there was so much talk about the league becoming faster and more skilled. Hunter Shinkaruk was in my mind a sure fire winner for this team. Not gonna lie, I really blew it on that guess. 1 single solitary game for this franchise. At least we got the better end of the deal by trading him for Granlund. So who were you wrong about? Was it someone you thought was going to be a bum and exceed all expectations. Or a player you thought was going to become a league star for us?

Garland is perimeter. Boeser even if perimeter, can take shots from there and score. Boeser if he can grow a bit in strength and speed will be a Gartner. Maybe not that good, but 30 a year is money.

My friend, you are completely off base. Baseball is a joke for fitness. NBA is running and jumping. Physical contact is at an all time low, so you don't need strength anymore. There is no comparison for hockey. Entirely different and extreme regimen for hockey. It is by far the hardest sport to train for. You need speed, stamina, recovery, strength, dexterity, hand eye. If you have never fought off one or two guys along the boards during a shift. You have no idea how hard hockey is. That's like a half a round of MMA and then still skating through the rest of the shift.

You sound like a qualified expert, are you going to apply for the strength and conditioning coach?

This whole thing really pisses me off. I see no posts about it on my facebook feed, no crying, no whining, no jersey burning. It's like my feed has been censored. I really just want to enjoy the leafs fans crying.

Grouse grind Strength Speed Endurance oxygen efficiency. You seem to forget, that Henrik had an ironman streak. He is the only person in the history of the league to have 500+ games and lead his team in scoring..... Let me amend that. HE is the only player in the history of the league who LED the league in scoring while on a 500+ game ironman streak.

I love Brock and think he is one of the cornerstones here. I am sure he can score 40 goals. They don't grow on trees. We need him, he will help us with success.

I don't want Boeser to go. I think Boudreau is keen on him. I think Brock has the potential to be a 40 goal scorer, and those don't grow on trees. If JT, EP and Bo Horvat have similar years as this year, that bodes great for Brock. You can't put your best defensive lines against everyone. So Brock could get some great ice time versus weak D-men. Petey doesn't need to put on any more weight. He is strong as hell, and dishes out great hits and reverse hits. Any weight gain could negatively impact him overall. A few more seasons he could be as good as Peter Forsberg.

Not gonna lie, that was one of the factors for making this topic for me.

He brought so little for the first half of the season. He looked painfully slow. Some of his board play and battle was good. But some of it was god awful. It's ok to lock it up down behind the goal line, but doing it on the half wall is just begging for trouble. To easy to turn it over and odd man rush the other way. He really got going when he started playing more minutes with Miller. That being said, what if a better selection of linemates happens for Miller next season. Will Chiasson be left floating out in the middle of no where. If we get him for almost the same next year, he may be worth it???

I'm sorry, but our bottom six was a real let down this season. In my lowly opinion, none of them brought energy or intensity. All they did was eat up minutes until our top two lines could return to the ice. There were no huge hits, no antagonizing other top players. No awesome forecheck, nothing. Pure and simply NOTHING. So out of our bottom guys, who must be dealt away, to try get someone...anyone who really brings it? I'm talking: Petan, Lammikko, Highmore, Lockwood, Richardson and Dickinson. (vote in others if you wish!) Lammikko give good forecheck and tight checking. Richardson gives some good PK time. Highmore has some speed. Lockwood? Dickinson, showed up for a few games. Petan less than ? I mean sure some of them are league minimum. But jebus bring it a bit harder. For me it's get rid of Petan. He is invisible. Dickinson is right there, just because of his horrid cap hit.
