Primeau is getting absolutely slaughtered on the ice. Makes sense for them to bring in an older goalie to get slaughtered in his place. Before they tank his confidence. If he has any. Both of his short stints in Montreal haven't been good. He got dumpstered in 4 games last year, getting dumpstered in the 11 games this year. He still has 2-3 years to develop, but I dunno. Tough sledding these last two seasons for the kid, albeit it's only 15 games.

Exactly. We saw what happened with Dipietro in his NHL starts and it could absolutely wreck a promising young career.

Add to that McMeMe's rushes up the ice. That's his answer for everything. The odd hilite but more often than not  it ends in a turnover. We all know turnovers at the blue lines kill you. Even if he gains the blue line it mostly, eventually ends in a quick turnover and no offensive zone time. Watch Draisatels skates back to the Dzone, lol, it looks like me in beer leugue.

Please...he might be in the NHL, but he comes nowhere near your stumbling backcheck effort :P

I mean so are like 80% of the teams in the league though. Yet half of CDC wants to dump Myers like hot trash when he's the only guy on the squad who can actually do the things you discribe. Is he consistent at it lol no if he was he would be a unicorn like Chara. Ill take chaos Giraffe.

I think more importantly what we need on D Is a righty who can play steady defense and is a threat to shoot. Not having a point shot is like playing 3 on 5 in the O zone and why a team like Calgary's wet blanket system can hold us to 2 shots or whatever through 40 mins and multiple PP's.

The problem.... There really isn't a guy like that available for trade that isn't pushing retirement age or out of our price range. Petry/Hamilton

Maybe we draft Chesley he's got a really deceptive quick release and plays a stable defensive game with a sprinkle of sand. But he's 2 or 3 years away I'm afraid there isn't really a short term fix unless maybe Petry but he's 34 with 3 years left after this. That's gonna be a hard sell to this youth obsessed fanbase.

We are missing Sami Salo. He was one of my favorite defensemen for us because he had a big, pretty accurate slapper (not like Phaneuf) and he was good defensively as well.

I guess you could argue for someone bigger and meaner to clear the crease, but a Salo would be a good addition.

Flores gets passed over for a coaching job and he's blaming the colour of his skin?  He sounds like a delusional Antonio Brown, thinking he's great and deserves X.

From what i heard, he was going to interview for the Giants job, but Bill Bellichick let it slip that the other Brian got the Giants job before Flores was interviewed; this means that Flores wasn't in contention, but was going to be interviewed to meet the quota of black interviewees.

I read something the other day from a sportswriter who suggested TB might pull an MJ.....retire for a couple of seasons and then come back....

He said it was based on nothing, (more a gut feeling) but I certainly would not be surprised, especially since it appears as though he's retiring for family reasons, rather than a decline in performance.....

He has to beat Favre's record for retirements too :p

    Depends entirely on my mood:

Need to get pumped - Billy Idol, Mony Mony (live!)

Need to calm down - Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells (side one)

General happy mood - Kim Mitchell, Go For A Soda

Otherwise included:  - Guess Who, These Eyes; Trooper, Raise a Little Hell; Thin Lizzy, Boys Are Back in Town; GnR, November Rain; Eagles, The Last Resort

In middle school, my sister drove me to my confirmation class, and we had this blasting right outside the church lol.

Sure sure If the rangers actually do offer that you take it everyone has a price. I'm not interested in arguing with your hypotheticals. The reality is as far as i'm concerned if you trade Miller you're going on a longer term rebuild journey and I'm 100% open to discuss the merits of that.....

But Schnider + 1st + Chytil imo isn't done its far from done so unless some pie in the sky overpayment for Miller happens I'm against moving him at this time Depending on JR's conversations with Miller's agent.

I'd definitely be open to trading Miller for a great haul with a young stud d-man like Schneider, but aside from that I'd probably favour trading Boeser.

Mahomes is unreal.  He's so young, has tons of playoff experience already and has beaten Brady for a 'ship.  He's exciting to watch.

Brady started out more like a game manager with a solid defense and clutch kicker, whereas Mahomes came in like a ball buster in his first few seasons.

I'm curious to see how Mahomes continues from here.

I would have loved Justin Fields he is similar to Hurts. Better arm and speed and more consistent mechanics.

But then he would not have had anyone to throw to on this team besides the TE's and maybe Quez Watkins.

After QB WR is the most important skill position imo.

You obviously need a good OL but great WRs make great offences.

Every top offence has 3 or 4 guys they can rekt on to make plays for them when their number is called.

The Eagles only had Goedert the big TE and Smith.

Like going to a gun fight with a knife against all these top offensive teams.

Yeah, having 3 or 4 options spreads the defense and gives you so many options on every play.

I would build the team with the picks this year, and then see how the team looks after next season.

The Eagles are more than a QB away from winning, but I don't think Hurts is the guy long-term unless he massively improves this off-season.

  10. Well this game should be much closer; first drive was aided by non-call hold on the first play and the weak RTP call, and the Goedert drop that would have put the Eagles in a position for a likely TD.

Game is 17-0 instead of 10-7.

Edit: yucky game now lol :(
