  1. Yeah, terrible timeout call. Of course the Raiders could have just killed the time, but congrats to Pittsburgh as well lol.

    Does the win push the Raiders into a different seed compared to a tie?

    So as long as the Packers and "immunized" A-rod take care of business and beat the Vikings...

    The FREAKING Eagles are in the playoffs!!!:emot-parrot:

    What a turnaround. They have been winning ugly running the ball against weak opponents mostly but the formula has worked for the most part.

    The running offence has been great. It should be enough to keep them in a playoff game against a superior opponent.

    @c00kies @Xbox

    Yes!

    As long as games don't get too out of hand, we can continue to run! I wonder if we see Minshew next week against the Cowboys (even if just a half).

    Exactly

    I heard these comments earlier and was like wtf??

    It's nothing. He goes don't be surprised if Canucks and Pitt make a deal if not now then in off-season..  lol

    Not thread worthy...

    GMs that come from other teams tend to snag a guy or two from their previous team (Benning did it with a couple Bruins who became depth players for Vancouver).

    This is more common knowledge than a rumor, unless they mentioned a direct individual the GM would look at acquiring.

    Difference is, I don’t think Demko will choke in the playoffs.  Not to knock Lu, he got us there, but Demko just does not get easily rattled.  He does not talk smack, give up dumb goals, and he does what he says he is going to do. The guy is cooler then an iceberg.

    I agree, he feels like 06-07 Luongo. Demko does seem more composed though.

    Gardner Minshew 80% completion percentage. I know it's vs the Jets but still.

    He actually looks half decent throwing the ball. He has a weak arm like Hurts but more accurate and gets the ball out quicker and can read the field.

    Maybe they need to run a 2 qb system with Hurts in the wildcat and at WR with Minshew under center on some snaps as a change up.

    @c00kies @Van40

    Yeah I was excited for him coming in. I think he's the better and smarter passer, but Hurts obviously has the edge on the ground.

    The one thing that might come out of this is if Hurts has a bad game like he did against the Giants, Minshew might come in during that game.

    Hurts needs to work on his progressions, but it's hard because if his first read isn't there, he's more likely to run than hang in the pocket.

    Huntley led a game winning td drive against the pathetic Bears. Nagy stinks. Fields is meh.

    Looks like Jalen Hurts is good!? Goedert looks great too @Chip Kelly

    Cam Newton outplaying Russ in back to back weeks was an unexpected twist

    And it looks like the Pats are back. BB is gonna coach till he's 100

    Ever since we started running the ball, Hurts has looked a lot better.

    I still think he has to work on his downfield accuracy (even on successful completions, sometimes the ball isn't placed right where it should be).

    I think Mac dropping was unbelievable, as I thought he was better than Fields and Lance (we'll see how these develop).

    I'm tempted to put a bet on the Pats winning the Superbowl just because the odds are likely low and they could potentially upset some solid teams (I think next year is more realistic though).

    It looks like coach Green is too much of a players' coach.

    We clearly don't have strong leadership that makes everyone fall in line.  So then we can't have a pushover coach.

    Not sure if you listened to the post-game show, but Hirsch suggests that trading out the bad apple is the way forward.

    AV was a player's coach too, but was able to adapt playing styles as the team developed from a team dependent on their goaltender to one with elite skill.

    I feel like Green had a similar situation with our bubble team; inferior and dependent on goaltending, but did what he could with the current roster.

    Green has not made the next step with the newest roster, and now it seems we have no system at all.

    Even when we missed the playoffs in 07-08, it didn't feel like the wheels were coming off, but rather that we'd make a couple moves to complement the core and be back in the playoffs. The Sedins took off, and then Kesler became a dominant two-way center and that's when we flipped the switch from a decent contender to a real Cup favourite.

    Our elite players are not better than other teams top players, so we won't be winning a cup soon.
