  1. McNally's a definite possibility, it seems he regained his game. Hutton, based on what i saw of him last year, was a sure thing in my mind. i haven't had a chance to see him this year, but his team is horrendous this year, i'd like to watch a game before i comment on how he is actually playing this season. there just haven't been that many college games on tv this season. and those that have been aired (on channels i get) have mainly been teams that have no canucks prospects. Looks like the saturday game is on NBC Sports in the US, so I'll be able to check it out too, and we'll all get our first look at him this season. Also, BC (demko) plays on friday on NBC sports, so i'll get my first look at him too. looks like a good weekend of hockey this weekend.

  2. Prab is currently playing with the Stockton Thunder Evansville Icemen in the ECHL.

as far as justin, he's currently above a PPG pace in the BCHL, and leading his team. 7th in the BCHL (his team is 3rd in the league, and top of their division). so there is something there to watch. then again, he's 20 right now... and JUST getting to the NCAA next year.... so he should probably be doing better given that he's so much older than the competition.

edit: looks like there are a bunch of 20 year olds in the BCHL.... i thought they were mainly younger kids who are forgoing the whl to enter the ncaa...

  3. So does this thread get moved to Canucks Talk now?

it'll stick around until next season then probably disappear. most of the talk about him will start to happen in CT at that time (unlikely he'll have his own thread dedicated to him, but he'll be included in all the other threads about the team)

I'll be moving him into the graduated section of the prospect tracker next season.

  4. Now, now, let's not sugar coat this. On the 2nd Hansen goal, Horvat actually lost the draw the Toews' side; it was a winger win by Dorsett that made the play happen.

still counts as a win, he tied up towes, which is no easy feat.

  5. for the guy who was saying bo wasn't contributing outside of faceoffs, last night you saw exactly what winning a faceoff, even ones in his own zone, can do. he got an assist based on his faceoff wins, one that led directly to 2 of hansen's goals. Henrik got a free +1 because of it too.

  6. you do nothing but contradict yourself over and over. you don't want to change the lineup, but you want it to change because you feel someone doesn't contribute... make up your mind.

also, as far as not contributing:

75 faceoffs, 56% win rate? 58.8% on the road (where the coach doesn't get to choose a favorable matchup), nevermind the solid defensive play and he is just starting to get rolling with his first goal....

  7. but "We have the record we have because of the lineup we ran with." he was part of that lineup, so " lets not mess that up"

    and did nothing to contribute?

75 faceoffs, 56% win rate? 58.8% on the road (where the coach doesn't get to choose a favorable matchup), nevermind the solid defensive play

  8. JB probably wants to see how we play without Hammer before he decides to make moves. Hence the Corrado call up

We have the record we have because of the lineup we ran with. lets not mess that up for Horvat who might not play more than 10+ minutes a game.

horvat was part of that lineup... or are you saying we should keep him in....

  9. i guess the question is, do you want a 4th line you can actually roll, or do you want to just roll 3 lines with a fourth one seeing 3 min a night and hope they don't become a liability out there...

  10. all the agreement says is "Players drafted and playing for CHL teams are ineligible to play in the professional minor leagues (AHL, ECHL) until they are 20 years old (by December 31st of that year) or have completed four years in major juniors." it doesn't say how many games consist as a year. I think he might be AHL eligible next season... i'll have to look deeper into it.
