  1. I would say that saying no points in your first 5 pro games is proof you're not ready is proof that you really have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. For the record only 4 forwards had more than 2 points over that timespan and 3 of them had only 1. I guess we got 8 guys that are pretty much useless at the NHL level in our line-up already.
  2. Button is also the guy that signed Turek to that completely retarded contract that ruined both their careers. If you could get the government to disable DOWNUNDACANUCK's internet you would go a long way to imporving that viewpoint.
  3. I agree. Those overly fat players in junior have quite the eye opener when playing at the next levels.
  4. No doubt, what the hell are those guys doing? Is that game on TV anywhere?
  5. I can't wait to go to some games.
  6. Terrific post +1. Like you said I think it's basically a toss up and personal preference of the management I think. Do they really think they have a chance to do some damage this year and does that weigh into the decision? Can we afford to let him play in the NHL just to see what happens, or is management going to play things very conservative in the next couple years and just keep building until the team reflects more of Trevor and Jim's vision? As you mentioned he can definitely hone his offensive game at the junior level. After getting some serious NHL training camp and game action he will most likely be supremely confident in his fourth junior year. 100 point clip wouldn't surprise me and could be a huge stepping stone. If he stays with the team the steep learning curve starts now.
  7. We never really did and certainly not at that contract. One of MG's biggest mistakes. The term should have been shorter.
  8. It's a rich white kid's job? Who joins the team and decides, "hey I want to be the kicker". Coming from a rugby player I find it comical that they actually have a position for a guy that just kicks the ball. Then again they have about 65 players on a team.
  9. What do you guys think? Crabtree or Welker in a point per catch league. I've Crabtree in right now.
  10. AHA, I just remembered I live in Calgary ... I always try to forget. But the perk to that is that we have excellent tickets behind the bench for the Hitmen, and we get the box every second game ... of course every one clambers on about the Flames and the Hitmen tickets go unused for the most part. Not this year, me thinks I'll be watching me a lot of Virtanen ... I may have extra tickets each game. This should be fun.
  11. Wow Ray Rice is a big piece of poo.
  12. You know it's pretty easy to say that until they actually play at that level against comparable players.
  13. yabba dubba doo

  14. Wamsley? Oh forget it, never heard of Yves.
  15. So ... there are going to be like 12 first liners and 4 top 2 dmen?
  16. Well it seems about time for the season to fall apart. I give them credit they kept it together longer than usual.
  17. Do really honestly believe that? lol Stafford RGIII Wilson Rothliesberger Smith Luck Newton Ryan Dalton Manning Heck even Palmer, and Rivers could have a case made. He went on a great run but he's not a legendary quarterback and he is absolutely horrible on the road.
  18. It seems to me that people are really over-valuing the 2015 draft as if there are hundreds and hundreds of players far better than most players coming out of the draft in last decade. While there may be a couple of high profile players it's a draft just like any other year.
  19. I thought Morrisey was horrible at the WJC last year. Did not like his game at all.
  20. Well c'mon we all know Apollo is really Luongo, they all do it.

    State of the Line Up

I like the pairings but neither Higgins or Burrows are good second liners as you suggest so keep them on the third. Edler still has to prove he can play defence responsibly. I'm not sure Corrado has it in him or is the answer as you suggest. I think they've been paired several times before and the result has been horrible just like every other player Edler has played with in the past 3 years. Also, Hansen has appeared to be a great guy to pencil in on the fourth line when our depth pushes him there but he never ends up these and he makes $2.5m/y so we'll wait and see on that one.
  22. I live in Calgary and the team has been flip flopping back and forth a bit. After being on the top for a number of years they were horrible in 2011-12 and rebounded with 2 solid years. Now they are seriously depeleted I expect them to compete for last place again and I would say there is a pretty good chance one of the two or both get traded during the year.
