My gut is that the team is going to be super happy with Boudreau.  he will open things up.  We may even see Boeser and EP shoot the puck now.  Zone entries will be much more aggressive, getting away from dump and chase.  Not sure what Scotty Walker will bring, but it will be hard for him to not be a significant upgrade on Baumgartner.

The coaching change is a huge breath of fresh air for this team.

I'd expect Shaw to handle the D...  has anyone heard otherwise ?

Yeah process of elimination now. If the team falters with a coach like this than we know the team as a whole is incapable and serious changes need to be made. Roster reconstruction will be needed.

I still have my concerns with the defense corp and bottom 6 even with an experienced coach but maybe the offense snaps out of the funk and can help Demko carry us to victories.

I'm expecting our D corps to look better because our wingers won't be leaving early to get over the red line to hopefully tip a slap-pass into the other end that no one has any momentum to retrieve (couldn't stand that).

Hopefully BB improves the breakouts significantly by having better fwd support in our end.

Perfect, a coach who can adapt his system to suit the players he has.

This.... can't stand coaches in any sport that are so sure of their system that continue to force it when it's now working with the players they have to work with.

Also affects who makes the team out of camp (not necessarily keeping best players but the one's that the coach trusts more in their system).

Jarry is playing really well, Canucks ae going to actually need production from their stars in this one. I know, what a reach.

Too bad the Canucks couldn't do a do-over with this season. To think a lot of us had them right up there with EDM and VGK before the season began. It's been so disappointing.  I'm ready for a real shake up.  A trade for a bottom pairing C or a depth Dman isn't going to cut it.

i blame myself.... for the first time ever i put $$ on them to win the cup   :sadno:

The comments on here make me laugh!

I remember when CDC voiced their opinion on Anthony Deangelo, people said he would never get another job in hockey, and that it was a fluke he scored all those points.

They said, he was a cancer in the room..................

Well now he is playing on Carolina, and scoring huge points, and all for a million bucks..............seems to have worked out pretty well for Carolina

Now, everybody is voicing their Hollier than Thou routine again on Kane

I do not think I have ever heard a word from any of Kane's team-mates that say he is anything other than a professional on the ice and in the locker-room

Would Kane help our on ice performance? I think so.....................isn't that the bottom line? I mean, the guy is not in jail, is he?

CDC wants choir boys, who score 50 points a season..........Kane is 6'2" 210 lbs, can fight and plays a heavy game, and still scores those 50 points a season

    See Byfuglien and Kane's history

He’s not a great fighter at all but he’s definitely physical. Good skater, plays the PK, can play winger or center, bit of a pest as well.

Definitelt an upgrade over Chiasson, Dowling, and Lamikko

If you can add right-handed to that then it's a no brainer

Don’t know what games you’ve been watching but the Canucks have played maybe 2 really solid games all year and the rest of them have been poor or inconsistent. When you’ve given up the 1st goal 12 out of 14 games that goes to show you how ill prepared this team is on most nights.

This plus almost every first PK ends up in a goal.  How many times this year have we made it out of the first period without having given one up ?

Well, the statement "wrong side of" means you have passed a milestone as set out by the very statement itself. Once one reaches said milestone, they are said to be on the "other side" of it. That's kinda the whole purpose of why that phrase was created.

As for "spinning OEL in a negative light", my statement was a direct response to a post saying that it was an amazing trade. My point being that we really won't know how the entire trade plays out until OEL's contract is up.

Isn't that like saying that once a player has reached his prime he's automatically on the wrong side of it ?
