I dunno man Benning seems like he’s pretty set on Sillinger who’s ranked in the mid 10s. If Hughes or Clarke were available at 9 and Benning passed for Sillinger. I’d be pretty &^@#ing choked

Huuuuuge fan of this trade

I am a huge fan of this trade as I am a huge fan of good defensive forwards. Our bottom 6 was abysmal last year and this helps solidify our third line. Too bad we couldn’t have picked up a guy like goodrow. Cheap bottom 6 forwards who can contribute both defensively and offensively would do wonders for this team.

You remind me of one of those blue hair liberal girls who attacks people for having a different opinion. The sedins are different players than Kucherov. Both had amazing careers and will continue to be great for this team. Would I rather build around Kucherov ? Yes.

I wasn’t even talking about the sedins.... I made a statement saying that any player in the NHL just playing for a pay check doesn’t deserve to play in the NHL. And typical CDC just explodes. You all talk like it’s okay if we don’t win a cup. Point being is the Canucks aren’t competitive and they never will be under Jim Benning. What have the guys he’s signed brought to this team. Big contracts, zero results. It’s the same thing every year. Aside from drafting, the Canucks have no competitive advantage to the big dogs of the league. We will never win a cup signing these foundational character guys. Certain players a la Eriksson, beagle, sutter have been burdens to this organization (gonna ruffle a lot of feathers for this one) but yet we keep signing these style of players. Myers was god awful in Winnipeg defensively yet we still signed him. Guys come to Vancouver knowing they will get paid.
