  1. I'm not saying having Russians here doesn't help, I just hope people aren't just expecting him to sign here, because there's still a good chance he won't. There's 31 other teams in this league afterall. Now, don't get me wrong, there's clearly still a chance he could sign here. I've just seen this same tune every year where fans expect certain things to happen and then they cry spilled milk if/when they don't. lol
  2. If he's available, sure. However, I'm not holding my breath on that. People seem to think that because we suddenly have a lot of Russians on the team we'd suddenly attract every single Russian out there. Also, could Myers even be waived if he has a NTC? I haven't looked up his contract, but it might be worth looking up in case he can't even be waived.
  3. As much as I realise winning games might be important to the players themselves, I'd honestly rather have the draft standing. I just tend to think long term even though a 3 spot difference in the draft isn't exactly a bit difference anyway.
  4. Definately. It will be already has been used for propaganda. Anywhere from deep fakes to voice changing to AI's giving out false information. It might not even be intentional mischief if an AI is told to scour the internet for research and finds articles from Fox News or obscure sites made by fanatics.
  5. Yeah absolutely. It's easy to get "worried" about this stuff, but we're not really there yet. It's basically a machine that sounds smart but really isn't. lol I'm actually starting to study AI programming more and it might be a direction I head towards in terms of work. It's a rather interesting line of work that's really still in it's infant stages (but will likely move at breakneck speed).
  6. Well, I also never really said the fanbase was bad, at least I don't think I did. I know I mentioned hypocrites, but hypocrites doesn't equal a bad fanbase. In face, every fanbase is going to have them. I'd argue me calling people hypocrites falls in line with you calling them psychotic. lol I will agree that the passion's there and hope that part never goes away. Otherwise, we'd likely have no 291 page threads on a single trade.
  7. To be fair, I've never said any fan was a bad fan. I did however say there are hypocritical fans. I'm more laughing at the people who are appauled by what Horvat said. This whole thing has kind of made my day. Any tears from people afterwards is bonus.
  8. Yeah, the threat is real, although I do think with a lot of jobs, it may be more just shifting the focus of those jobs rather than eliminating them altogether. For example, it might help you to write the content and then you yourself end up adjusting accordingly. Otherwise, if you think about it, if everyone used ChatGPT, everyone would just sound the same through writing. There's still going to be a creative side no matter what and AI can only base things on what it is trained to do. It still doesn't think like a human.
  9. Absolutely. It is there though, just in bits and pieces here and there. I'm pretty sure DeNiro's just pretending it isn't there. lol
  10. @DeNiro You know what? I've shown proof I'm rummaging around. It's a large forum obviously with a ton of threads which makes it hard to look through history. Not only that, no matter what I come up with, it's pretty clear you're just going to pretend things aren't true anyway; therefore, it's not worth my time. I'll be the bigger man and not continue this discussion. Know that I 100% stand by what I've said though.
  11. I told you I needed time to rummage through the threads. I can't blame you for being impatient though. You likely don't want me to come with evidence. Here's a couple of fun gems so far... I'm really trying to find the ones where I was personally having disagreements with people but I can't even remember the thread. They are there though.
  12. I'll get you some quotes if you're that petty. Just need some time to rummage things up. But I'm sure you don't want to give me the time of day after calling you.out.
  13. To be honest, the only reason why I'm sticking up for him is because I think some fans deserve it.
  14. You want me to find quotes? There's some in this very thread. Even ones by you. I literally argued against YOU about this. lol If you have that short of memory of you being against Horvat, I could refresh it, but I hoping you're not that petty to the point where you need me to actually rummage up your actual posts.
  15. Can you provide actual proof he held out aside from pointing out the money he got from NYI? Can you actually provide proof that's not just speculation or your opinion? Also, Lam's comment doesn't mean much of anything if you're going to use that. I can't believe people still believe that he held out for money when it was clear we likely wouldn't have even been able to afford him at 7mil. Management made a mistake. They signed Miller and caused Horvat to be traded. Just because Horvat got more money in NYI doesn't mean he held out especially given how fast he signed that contract.
  16. Of course. People have the right to be hypocrites as well. I'm not arguing people's rights, I'm saying they're hypocrites.
  17. Honestly, 100% he has the right to. You might not agree with it, but a fanbase is often looked at as who the worst fans are and how many of them are there. You just have to look at how Toronto or Montreal are looked at to see this being the case.
  18. To be honest, given how quickly some "fans" here immediately started to diss Horvat after the trade even though it was ultimately a management decision, I wouldn't be surprised if he fully meant that comment. If you're not going to show respect to the guy, you'd better not expect respect back or else you're a massive hypocrite.
  19. Okay, I'm taking you outside right now and we're going to fight if you think Corner Gas was bad. lol One of my favourite shows ever.
  20. Yeah I'm really not worried about Kravtsov at this point. I think he has time here; however, next season could end up being the season that really determines his future. This season I really don't care because we just got the kid along with whatever baggage he left NYR with.
  21. Biggest thing is just him getting in shape I think. He had some good looks when he first got here. If he can get in shape to be able to keep that sort of pace up, I think things could shift for him. I don't doubt his skills. It's just hard to use those skills when you're out of breath.
  22. Considering there are drafts with NO foundational players to speak of before the draft, 4's rather good. lol
  23. I just wear normal jeans. For one, I need to lose weight. I'm not obese necessarily but I am a little "plump". So tight jeans would just look... weird on me. Even as I lose weight, which I've been gradually working on, I have the body of a golem anyway. I have one of those short and wide bodies. So tight jeans would STILL likely look terrible on me. lol
