Who is gaslighting? This *is* mafia - a game based around deception and trickery. People are allowed to lie, embellish, etc. - that's the name of the game for the mafia team. As long as they're not breaking rules or being legitimately harmful to other players, this is just part of the game. It's on the townspeople to figure out what's legitimate and what's not legitimate. I'm sorry if you're having a rough first go at this game, but I promise you, nobody here means any harm or malice. Everything is strictly within the game.

Nice! So, I take it you're a fish for Halloween? Can't say I've seen that before (beyond maybe young children dressing up as Nemo or Dory or something), but I definitely think that's creative and high-effort!

And this is what I mean. People make some digs at your gameplay (which is 100% normal for ALL players in a game) and you call for it to end, citing it as toxic. Meanwhile, you're making remarks like this. Not just that, but using sexist language (calling people "p***ies"), bypassing the swear filter, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm not offended in the slightest (I'm actually laughing), but a bit hypocritical, don't you think? You can't have it both ways.

I like ilunga's game. No non-sense and to the point. While I agree that naslund.is.king is posting a whole ton without posting a whole lot of actual content, I can hardly blame him, or anybody for that matter. Petey_BOI has essentially derailed this first round with his erraticism that's moved beyond the scope of the game, as he's now just arguing with people for the sake of it, getting legitimately personal, and oscillating between "you guys are toxic, please stop" and "allow me to be toxic without repercussions". For me, this is *somewhat* like a R0 - everybody that's playing gets a pass, so to speak. It goes without saying I'm voting for Petey_BOI in this round. As I said previously, making wagers/bets about personal alignment is against the rules when one is a townsperson. So, either he's actually mafia and isn't breaking the rule (therefore, must be voted out), or he just hasn't been dealt with yet by the host. If it is in-fact the latter, I would suggest to Petey_BOI to re-read the Mafia rules that our forum has created. I know that for somebody like me, who can walk that line between antagonistic, loud-mouthy, and competitive in my gameplay, the rules helped me become a better "between the whistles" type of player.

Without invalidating how you're feeling, I want to offer you the peace of mind by saying that Aladeen and Sharpshooter, having played with them for many years, mean absolutely no malice or harm to you on a personal level. In mafia, it's somewhat customary for people's gameplay to be scrutinized or made fun of. It's nothing personal against the user, but just something that naturally occurs during a game. However, all of this stuff about wagers/making bets/getting mods involved - NOT COOL. Play within the game.

Yep. Another day, another fine post from Master Mind (as we've come to expect). Marner has supreme vision and an eye for a pass like no other. An effective penalty-killer, as well. He's younger, has been far more consistent in his career than Miller (not a slight against Miller, more so a praise for Marner). He costs a ton more, which would kill any palatability of this move, but salaries aside, this is a deal that would benefit the Canucks tenfold. Leafs would say no.

That's not really the point. The point is, the management team came in and said that trading picks was not something they would want/could do, emphasizing this even more when it came to clearing out salary. Now, they're down a seemingly productive 3rd line C and a semi-high pick, while improvement in the standings has not been made. In any event, by your logic, it would be like me saying "Fans celebrating wins, go look at all the playoffs in Canucks history and look at our appearances. Other than 1982, 1994, and 2011, we've never come close to hitting big". Just because it hasn't yet happened (success with 2nds, or winning the Stanley Cup) doesn't mean it can't or won't happen. Keeping our picks, at minimum, gives us an opportunity to unearth that great player, and for where we are at, we should be looking to build our prospect pool.

Don't worry. As Aladeen was saying, this particular match set-up is quite confusing, even for the experienced players. Don't take it too hard or personal. *If you are town* --> What I would suggest is to sleep it off, come back fresh tomorrow, and maybe consider giving some of your reads. For example, who do you think might be mafia? Who are some town reads? This is a good way to get your feet wet and get involved in the game *If you are mafia* --> Well, I hope you have a good night, but, uh, disregard everything I said cuz in this case, you would be the bad guy and the bad guys must be voted out.

Alright, so I have no idea of the mafia mechanics in this game. Are they in a PM together, or are they not? Doesn't really matter. Petey_BOI - and it pains me to say this because I hate harping on the rookies - is an overeager townsperson. Trying to be the hero in R1 with this PM stuff. I applaud the effort, but sometimes the K.I.S.S principle is the best way to approach a match. Almost a sure-bet for being town, but unless he's morphs into Master Radishes at some point, I don't believe he'll be a, uhm, contributing town member, so to speak.

I have also received a PM from Petey_BOI. I think he's just making up his own roles. Either that, or he's having a Kellan Lain-like debut. A few seconds of madness before he's tossed.
