Canucks training camp or the Orientation camp? (the one in July). But thats good news because we get to watch him, and see how he does competing and working with Hodgson Schroeder and (2010 first rounder).
Well nothing we can do, he chose the SEL. I just didn't want him to get 4th line minute again, he only scored 1 goal last season, unless anything changes, or if he's starting on a top 6 line then good for him. The reason why I wanted him in the AHL because it emulates the NHL much more (arena size, nhl rules, the physical game) of the AHL. Also if he did play in the AHL we can watch their games whenever they play.
Best of luck to him.
Doubt it.
Hodgson was the best prospect last year at camp, and he did it with a busted back.
Now Imagine Hodgson had a 100% back. I will bet money that Hodgson will have a stronger camp then Schroeder.
Wow, ya know, had a pretty weak year in Minnesota, wins a gold medal at the world Juniors, is now being a key part in a Manitoba Moose run, and all this, he is only 19, and will remain 19, when the Season ends. Good job Schroeder.
So I assume he's not getting a contract. Or does anyone even know whats going on between Rodin and the Canucks? To some extent you will think the absence of not having Hodgson, and Grabner for the Moose playoff run would have opened up a roster spot for one of our prosming young players. Anyone know the update?
Schroeder pointless tonight, also pointless in his last game. Why does this thread go dead when he gets 0 points in a game? I don't get it. When he gets a point, he is the next star, he is better then Hodgson, he is this and that?
Anyways, Moose beat the top seeded team 2-1.
Moose drop to the Leafs farm team in S.O 2-1. Just the lone assist for Schroeder.
Moose remain in 9th place one point behind the 8th place team. 6 games remaining.
How did he look this time? Dangerous? Offensive threat when he's on the ice? Did he generate chances? Did he get much scoring chances himself? Good set up man? How did he look this time around? thanks.

Schroeder ranked 43rd in Hf's spring top 50 prospects. His season probably dropped him a little.
I would totally mind seeing Schroeder replacing Raymond. What makes you think this guy who went 5 straight games without a point now is capable of replacing one of our scoring wingers?
I am quite excited to see Hodgson on a line with Schroeder. Going to be interesting, were Schroeder will also play, as I recall he's a center for Minnesota and Hodgson is a center for Brampton...
But bad news....
Moose is clinging on too the final playoff spot at the 8th place.... They have 70 points in 66 games... 9th place team has 63 points but with 3 games in hand.... 10th place to 13 place teams all have 67 points but with 1 game in hand.....
I'm not even sure if the Moose will make the playoffs..... It's a nail biter right now... I'm pretty sure The Battalion has a far better chance then the "Gophers" at going for in their playoffs.....
