I think Gaunce is probably going to be a 3rd line player kinda like a manny Malhotra type.

He was ranked 12th at mid ranking. Much more solid pick then someone like colton Scissions. 6'2 215 pounds, solid 2way player, a long ways from the NHL,has the speed to burn, we'll see what happens at training camp.

another underwhelming year.... sigh...... I heard a lot of great things about this kid when he got drafted. How he is a great skater, highly skilled , highly offensive, very solid defensively, he has grit, not afraid to lay the body, this is technically his 3rd pro season, quite underwhelming actually. OH well, stats doesn't equal to NHL career.

Thats the first I heard of that. I heard they traded Kassian away because they had a chance to land Cody Hodgson. Nothing more.

You guys say he is more "skilled" please elaborate. But all accounts, Cody Hodgson is also a very skilled player, better shooter, more arsenal of shots, named the smartest player in the OHL, best penalty killer, and named voted OHL player of the year, then named CHL player of the year. Cody Hodgson has mad puck skills too, and is no slouch when it comes to shoot outs. He is playing only 10 minutes per game, and his stats are amazing. He is the reason why team Canada didn't win the gold medal in 2010. So please, elaborate on how Schroeder is more skilled. If anything the only thing Schroeder might have on Hodgson is his overall speed, but other then that, Hodsgson smokes Schroeder in almost every department of the game.

I disagree with the part you said Great management. It's crap management. They hired a GM which was never qualified enough to manage our team. Tambellini has been sticking around in our team for 18 years, and never got the management role. But yea, with the players they've been drafting they will have a good team, only by virture of those players they drafted, (Hall, Hopkins).

I agree. Had a ok start.... finished the season going like 20 games without a point, pointless the first 4 playoff games, then goes on a 6 game point streak IN THE PLAYOFFS, then pointless in the last 2. But yea, plenty of time for him.

He's apparently on a loan to Mora. Meaning at anytime we can take him back. Unless I'm wrong this means he can join us. We can take him back upon the end of his team's season, which makes sense for us, then he can join the Moose, because he is under contract with us. Kind of like when Brad Lukowich was under contract with us but we loaned him to Texas, and because he is under contract with the Canucks we can take him back at anytime.

We have different expectations for him. For him, maybe higher, personally I think he should have a few more points, but lets see how the season goes. Because the good is, we are hearing, hes looking good, looking dangerous, exciting to watch player, However you also hear, that he's already played a 3-4 games on the 1st line out of the 7 games, and hes 9th on team scoring. He only has 1 goal so far, lets hope he picks it up in terms of stats.

Really Sanford? You serious? Hodgson played in the AHL as a 19 year old while playing in the conference finals and in the AHL finals.. These games are much more difficult then the games Schroeder played in which were regular season games. He also played in it as a 20 year old. The comparison is not even fair, Also don't forget Hodgson played on the 4th line, due to the chemistry the team has established through their 1st 2 rounds, it was in the coaches best interest not to mess up any Chemistry. Last years team was all over the place. It was a lot more easy to put Schroeder into a top 6 role right away, and don't forget , it was not playoff games.
