great news boys, Schroeder with this 1st of the season Patty White pointless and a minus 1 tonight.

What? that was last week dude... right now they are up 2-1. White and Schroeder is pointless.

You actualy don't have too even make a sheet offer. Apparently they can just say "we made an offer" and thats as good as it is. From what I know its the 55th pick for someone like Patrick White who was drafted 25. Patrick White is WCHA player.... do you mean drafted out of the NCAA or only NCAA players? I heard it applies to all college players....

By not signing him, San Jose will get a 2nd round Comp pick for him after his 4th year of College (Which is the deadline for college players). Some thinks this is the only reason why they traded Ehrhoff for someone as usless and as low in the debth charts as Patrick White was for the 2nd round pick which will be in the mid 50's apparently, but I could be wrong.

He will be there. He was there best player last year and that team also had James Van Riemsdyk and Colin Wilson. On top of that he was their captain. It's just a slow start for him. Kinda like what happens to Luongo every damn year .

anyone watching the exhibition game between Sweden Junior team vs Concordia University? Anyways a goal and 2 assist for Anton Rodin. Sweden Looking dangerous early on, actually this is a unfair advantage to them as they are playing as a team earlier then other teams. This gives them time to find chemistry. I think Team Canada should do the same.

As I recall, Gillis had Beach on his shortlist, along with Tyler Myers and Zach Boychuck , that we would have drafted with our 10th pick. Also Brian Burke wanted to draft him with the 12th pick, but because he was drafted 11th, Burke traded that pick. Beach might have some issues, but he is a good player.

Calm down dude... I red it in the newspaper during the summer. There were rumors during the summer that he might join Everett, they said Gillis wanted him to join Everett but his agent said it was not an option. End of story. Hindsight or not, I was never a fan of college hockey anyways.

Shut out 3 out of 4 games. Good job Gophers good job. Schroeder should have listened to Gillis. Told him to join the Tips. Gillis probably evaluated the Gophers along with our college scouts and projected that, the team is probably going to be a weaker team in the WCHA this year. Lets hope the season can turn around, if not it's one year of wasted development for him.

I think theres a reason why Gillis really wanted Schroeder to leave Minnesota, not because he gets to play near Vancouver, (Everett Silvertips) but that fact that there have been problems with that developement program and that Gillis saw that, Minnesota is not going to be a strong team this season. Pretty much the same reason Garth Snow was trying to pull out Aaron Ness out of Minnesota to a diffrent leauge. MIke Gillis pay so much attention to detail, that he probably knows more about other teams and other leauges then people think. That guys puts in so much time in researching whatever he needs to know. Lets see how it turns out in the end... if Gillis choice of asking him to join the Silvertips was the right one or if Schroeder deciding to stay in Minnesota for 1 more year was the right one.

Nice to hear, but he needs to develope his offensive game at the NHL level. It's nothing to us if he lights it up in tier 2 hockey.

Scouts say he's a winger. In a interview video, he said he's a centerman. But it's great to have players that can play multiple positions. Apparently he's good at taking faceoffs too. A pure bonus. Hodgson gets waived, out here comes Schroeder who is also a faceoff man. Very excited about this guy, unbelievable pick. What a gift to Canuck fans at 22.
