Because his defensive game. He's not ready to play top line role until he learns to play 2way game.. He likely gets 2 or 3 shift on that line depending on the score. If we're down a goal or two and need a goal he might get a look see on top line.

I thought he would. But didn't think he should.. He's just tall. If he was regular size it would have been shoulder to shoulder..he likely doesn't even get a penalty there.

I think it's a great deal. This kid is a young Jaccob Slavin. And Slavin has been one of my favorite Dmen in the NHL for years. He's definitely one of the best contracts and a beast for the Canes.. You get Schneider you're top pair is set for next 10 years with Hughes and Schneider.. Miller is in his prime and his next contract will be too high salary, too high cap, too long term and declining play from age. I'd be ecstatic if we got Schneider. EP Horvat Chytil Lammy our Cs. Finally get a stud top pair, two way physical Dman to pair with Quinn. I'd love that trade.

Further to my previous response. I do think Schneider would be a huge help for us making the playoffs next season. He's a stud top pair Dman on our team.. I'd give up Miller and Rathbone for Chytil Schneider and 1st.. Btw I like Rathbone a lot and I was over the moon when we signed him instead of losing him to BOS as UFA if we couldn't. Covid shutdown in college hockey helped us get him signed.

If we're trading Miller we're not trying to make playoffs. Not this season. JR said he wants to shed cap, get younger and gain picks.

He played around 22 mins last night. Been playing solid hockey. Would have been called up earlier but Covid protocol. 6'2 205lbs physical RHD. Reminds me of Jaccob Slavin. Good luck trying to get him from NYR. If JR can make it happen props to him. I doubt it.

Ya I'm not just talking about last night.. As I said there are 18 Dmen with 7 or more goals in the NHL Our entire Defense corps has scored 7 goals all season. 120 Dmen with 10 or more points.. We only have 2 Dmen with 10 or more points.. Can't win in today's NHL if your D doesn't move the puck, create offense and put up Points.

Our D sucks at helping our forwards create offense and can't create offense themselves. Our Dmen only have combined for 7 goals this season. There are 18 Dmen in the NHL with 7 or more goals. Cale Makar has 18 goals all by him self in 6 less games. We need a lot more offense from our D if we want to compete.

Physically hard game for Canucks.. Played for a point. Great effort
