    He's also LD .. RD harder to come by. I'd say Chychrun is marginally better. Not by a huge margin. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out.

    Chychrun just went to OTT for ONE 1st and TWO 2nds. Very similar players. We got a way better deal. Win for Alvin.

    Draft one wait 5 years and chances of him turning into Philip Horonek are slim.

    We have to re sign EP40. We can't start a complete rebuild if we want to keep him. He'll leave if we start a 10 year rebuild.

    There are still more trades coming We'll likely get a 2nd or maybe even a 1st this tdl. A young top 4 RD was a top priority for this team and we got him.

    The player is good. The chances of us getting this type of player via the draft are very slim.

    Yes we did give away the 1st but that 1st was not ours to begin with. So the package we got for horvat and 2nd exchanges the 1st for Hronek.

    We got that 1st from NYI for Horvat. So we traded it away got Hronek. We still have our 1st. We gave away Horvat + 2nd we got back Beau, Horonek, Raty, 4th.

    So if we got a RD with NYI 1st at the draft it would take 4+ years for him to develop into an NHLer. And the chances of him turning into a Horonek would be slim. We paid an extra 2nd and got our RD we've been clamoring for years now. He's young and having a break out year. This is a good trade imo. We pay a bit more now but get what we've needed for years.
