What a tough and awkward phone call that would have been for Yzerman to make to St. Louis. I still think he should be on the team, along with Giroux, ahead of a few players, but we have a good team regardless. Also pleasantly surprised that Hamhuis made the team. -
Aside from maybe LA, I think we'd be able to compete with any of the west teams (Even if it as the underdog). Something the last few cup champs have had in common is that they got some lucky bounces and were able to stay healthy. If we can stay healthy and get some bounces, we have a decent chance. I think it's highly unlikely we miss the playoffs. I doubt Phoenix, Minnesota, and Dallas all finish ahead of us.

Yea we got outshot by a large margin, but we stayed in the game. We still could've won the game, and we're capable of a stronger finish, I'm sure we'll fix that by season's end. Doesn't matter how many games we went out in, we weren't winning that series.

I'm not saying they're saving themselves or anything like that, but every team goes through slumps. Yes we have a lot of things to work on, but I'm not going to say we have no chance and that the team is done, like some people are saying.

Taking the 'C' from the franchises best player is a distraction we don't need. A player doesn't need a letter on their jersey for them to be able to lead. I agree they need more team toughness, but that's up to Torts to get the players to do.

An OT loss to the top team in the NHL after playing LA less than 24 hours ago, plus all the injuries we have, and there's so many comments about blowing up the team? Way to overreact. They have it in them to play better, and they will. We're still in a playoff spot, which is all we need.

I would have thought McDonagh would also be untradeable. I think Del Zotto is likely the only one that gets traded this season.

15 games? What a joke. Everything Thornton did meets the criteria of a much harsher suspension.

That game actually put me to sleep. Not good considering it was an afternoon game. Really disappointed with the lack of effort. Should have done much better for Torts' sake.

Would any other team be interested in Erat anyway? If not, then a Booth for Erat swap makes sense for both teams imo. Not many teams, if any at all, would want either player. Might as well give both of them a better chance to succeed. -
Surprise surprise, people are blaming Luongo. He was our best player tonight... again. We really need to add another top 6 forward to this team. This lack of offence is costing us valuable points.

That's not accurate at all. Someone can learn everything that there currently is to know, and still believe in God, though that doesn't make them an "idiot". And saying "God did it" is far from an easy answer. A creator (If one exists) would be beyond what we can imagine. -

Can't believe the Isles made that trade. Even if Vanek re-signs, I still don't like the trade. Their 1st and 2nd is just too much. I expect Vanek to go to Minny after they get rid of Heatley, but I hope for the Isles sake that he re-signs. -

We're currently missing a top 6 forward in Burrows. Kassian just came back, give him a few games. And we still don't know what Schroeder and Jensen will be like when they're healthy. No need to overreact. -

I don't see any valid reason to believe letting the Sedins walk will benefit this team in any way.

Look at how Toews handled himself against Detroit. Certainly doesn't seem like the best leader in the game to me. I'd much rather give it to someone who won't lose it when times get tough. A vet like St. Louis or Boyle would be best for the team.

I think it will also be Crosby, but he was also the best in the world when the last Olympics happened and he didn't get the C then, so it's possible they do that again.
