If we were to trade Oli this year...I guaranty he will come back to bite us in the arse...Oli hasn't had a fully healthy season since junior and the injuries he has had to deal with have hurt his mobility...I think he only needs a good year of being healthy and working on his flexibility to get back on track and another year to be the top 4 guy we drafted....and maybe one more year to be a legit top 2...at the tender age of 24 or 25...which is when most D. men actually mature into a useful player. I expect a useful player at the very least.

That may be the best goal ever....it is certainly faster and craftier than any of Scechnikov's lacrosse goals... This kid may have as much talent as EP and QH ...!

As a winger he can use his speed and size to get in more hits on the opposing D. and if he fights we are not down a center for 5 or 7 minutes (instigating).... I don't think he is that great at dishing the puck...his passes are fine if he has a bit of time to get them through but he is no EP or even BH...

Thanks for the rundown...and now it sounds like he should be ready to go within a season or so...given his age and skills...maybe he can turn Goldie into the sniper we were hoping for and they can come up together to join Tryamkin on what could become a top 4 D corp in that same time frame. At the very least he gives us some skill depth at center and left wing and effectively replaces Madden on the depth chart.

Not a chance...he is either a whole healthy player or he heads back to Sweden for a full years rehab....no way he gets demoted, he was still one of the most used D. in Utica when was healthy enough to play.

....and the bolded is what we should take from that...if the injuries are behind him and he uses the off time to core strengthen and increase his flexibility ( which is worst trait right now...due to those injuries) he could show up next year as bonafide top 4 D. Just watch....!

Sounds like he needs to work on his skating ....but with 3 SH goals ...he must be able to get down the ice as fast as most college players...

I think you're right...all he needs is time to work on his range of motion for all his injured parts...to get them limber enough to make tighter faster turns...his mobility is the only thing holding him back right now and if he puts in the work ...a few months should show massive improvement...if he does the work....it's up to him now.

His ceiling was the highest....after watching them both this year i think that title belongs to Hughes...he gets better every game, scores a point every game since Fall sometime (pretty much didn't check)...and he does it with poise and grace. I think this deserves a Just Watch....!

I would rather have Bailey in for Erikkson.. While Louie played a decent game yesterday he still caused a penalty by not getting the puck out, he had plenty of time to send Miller in on a breakaway on another play and instead sent an area pass way to far ahead of Miller...it would have been a clear break, MacEwen and/or Bailey should be in for Luoie on a full time basis and the other should come in for Roussel every 2nd or 3rd game to give him a bit of a break without downgrading the team....at all....

I know Greener probably won't try it...at least for the first year or 2 but I want to see Rathbone play with Hughes...and quarterback the 2nd PP. I know they are small but if you have the puck all the time...it doesn't matter how big you are...those 2 together with EP should provide some on ice weeping by the opposition....especially on there way to and from the penalty box...shouldn't need to sit there long...

Louis will have to play at least one of those 3 in 4 night games...but Marky might be back in 3 weeks...not sure how that jibes with the remaining 3 in 4's but that is well before the end of the season at least. edit; just checked and Marky will be back for the last 2 back to back's and it will be right about 3 weeks in for the 3rd back to back on Marck 12th and 13th...
