Abso-freakin-lutely. Aquaman and Benning thought they could rebuild without rebuilding. I called for this mess to happen 8 years ago when instead of trading vets for draft picks, Benning signed Miller and Vrbata. -

Please. Every single team in every single league in every single sport on Earth has players they can flip for assets. We're talking about prospects, where are the Elite prospects? There aren't any because this team should be competing 8 years into a rebuild. That's why we've had no draft picks recently. If you're trading away veterans for draft picks right now, you're doing it about eight years too late. -

Just wait until the playoffs hater. Power forwards take 16 years to develop duh. -

Ok lemme explain something to people that haven't played physical sports before. When you're the smaller team, you tend not to go out and lay out big hits. Because if you want to play that game, the bigger team is just going to lay out bigger hits. Or just straight up beat you up, which gets old real quick. So what you will usually find is that people that never get into fights, are the ones that are screaming that people should get into fights. -

Nobody post pictures of any tanks. Tanking is when you trade assets away to get a higher draft pick. Canucks gave up their high draft picks and future cap flexibility to go for it THIS AND NEXT YEAR. And this is what we get. Worst part is it's going to only get worse when we have older versions of OEL and Myers eating up cap space. I used to want Benning to get fired so bad, but at this point it doesn't even matter. Team is trash and as when Benning got here. The cupboards are empty. -

If you go, get good seats. The Vegas experience is probably the best in hockey. -

Upgraded roster... Jesus. This was one of the worst teams in the league last year, one of the worst teams in the leave over the 8 years since Benning took over. Improving the 3rd line and getting a guy that was last good 3 years ago on D clearly doesn't move the needle that much. -

When's the last time the Canucks had a rockin regular season crowd that wasn't the last Sedin game? Watching hockey in Vegas is like watching a different sport. Canucks atmosphere is quiet and boring. Even when the team is playing well. -

This team sucked last year and it's great that the bottom six got rebuilt in a really good way, but how is that supposed to make this a great team all of a sudden? The defense is still awful. This team is still completely reliant on the power play and Demko. The Canucks are an average team. Which may actually be good enough to make the playoffs considering how bad their division is. But it's bizarre how many people were expecting big things. That said. This team gets 2 wins in a row and CDC will be on fire with posts how Benning is playing 5-D chess. -
Is Pettersson not the same player we expect him to be?
CanadianRugby replied to b3nnyb's topic in Canucks Talk
I've thought maybe people have overrated him due to a great rookie season. But I excused any bad play last year due to injuries. Right now it's too early to say. Maybe he's a great player against poor defense, but struggles when checked hard. Maybe he's just straight up great and not dominating because he missed preseason. I'm not too concerned about struggles and wouldn't be celebrating too hard on successes this early into the season. Let's talk 20 games in. -
