  1. Lol, the hurt feelings reports in this thread are priceless. Oh no, someone doesn't support an organization that has nothing to do with him, quick, let's all try to out righteous each other with our indignation!!
  2. Miller isn't going anywhere. This management team would trade Pettersson before they would trade a guy they extended, would be admitting they screwed up and Rutherford is too egotistical to ever even hint that he was wrong.
  3. That is false. If he continues to score but starts getting more points because he isn't on a line with AHL 3rd liners his value rises. If he excels on the PK because the Isles have better structure his value increases. If he just continues to do what he is doing his value rises. At the very least a GM like Lou will be able to extract more than what he paid for the guy because he will allow whoever tries to trade for Bo the opportunity to talk extension. This has the potential to be on the list of trade with Neely. If Raty really improves and turns out to be better than a B prospect and if the pick turns out to be a key piece in a winning team that at least competes for the cup then this trade will be in the Naslund category, right now, I feel this is a bad trade, I feel the same as I did when we got OEL & Garland. I hope I am wrong.
  4. Since you have the more unexplainable stance, you explain to me how any team takes on 4 mill for a bottom 6 small forward. We had to retain salary on a #1/2 center at 5. I'll be waiting for you to use "fear mongering" for the 400th time in your response.
  5. Screw it, trade him, might as well. This team is going to be terrible for as long as Allvin & Rutherford run it.
  6. Stawns is correct. Nobody is taking on 4mil in salary for this year & next for a guy who hasn't hit 20 goals in more than 5 years. Not happening.
  7. He scored 31 goals last year, what do you mean waited to step it up, literally every year of his career so far has been a step up. Must be pretty oblivious to not see that he started out as an ok skater, worked his ass off and became one of the fastest on the team. Then he worked on his faceoffs and recently he worked on his shot. He is literally what every other team looks for. A center who is fast, big, wins draws, scores and is a leader on the team, well except the Canucks. We like our small forwards & slow defense.
  8. The guy has regressed every year since scoring 21 goals 6 years ago. He's not a 20 goal scorer. He's a mid teens scorer who costs over 4mil against the cap for another year, also known as a contract we won't be able to trade. We traded a top center who already has 30 goals this season, wins the majority of his faceoffs, takes more faceoffs than anyone in the league, is fast, big and young enough to do what he's doing for years for a bottom six small winger who costs WAY too much for what he brings, a B prospect at best if Raty doesn't regress and a wildcard draft pick. I have a hard time believing that a better offer wouldn't have come between the end of the All-star weekend and the trade deadline. Also worth mentioning, class act at work again trading a guy when he's going to the all-star game...couldn't wait until after. I question the moral fiber of this management group, they seem to enjoy being absolute asses.
  9. That is a really shitty package for a really good player who we also retained salary for. Allvin is actually worse at trading than Benning was. What a waste of a top end asset when the trigger didn't have to be pulled for another month.
  10. Is it at all possible that the Canucks are looking to trade Demko because he's another player that they messed up his medical handling with? After past comments from Dickinson, Pearson's issues, Hughes comments, could be that they screwed up on Demko and now he wants out. Would fit in with the long line of embarrassments this management group has endured so far.
  11. On the fence with this signing. This tells me the front office thinks this team can compete in this time line, unless they pull off multiple miracles this screams "Let's squeak into the playoffs in the next two years to make the boss some revenue." I like Kuzmenko but he really should be flipped for the future.
  12. OEL has the softest shot in hockey. He isn't going to improve the PP. Removing Miller and moving Kuzmenko into his spot on the wing or moving the wing back to the point for a different look could help. Teams are 100% focused on Pettersson, there is no threat from Miller to shoot and definitely no reason to fear Miller creating anything, just a constant cycle of trying to get a Petey one-timer.
  13. Worst thing about this game is both Hughes and Pettersson look like they have given up. I haven't seen Pettersson fall down this often since he was terrible last year.
  14. This game is exactly what was expected, beat a terrible tanking team in Chicago and then get stomped by the much better Kraken team.
  15. Expected to win this game, means nothing, Hawks suck. Not a game to take anything from other than they are that much worse than we are. They are tanking hard and will tank harder at the deadline.
  16. OEL out there soft tossing on net to get his shot stats up. Even if those floaters are tipped they aren't going to result in a goal.
  17. Glad the building and fans are back to reminding everyone why it's called the library. Loudest thing is the music.
  18. Wouldn't want to be Tocchet. A win here is a big meh because Hawks suck. A loss and the stories will be less than flattering. Another loss is better for our lottery chances so I'm hoping for a good solid loss.
  19. This exactly, I was born and raised in BC and I despise Vancouver. Vancouver isn't as great as people on this board think it is.
  20. And he openly lied about it with no issues when he stated "I haven't signed any contracts" about what, 2 days ago now? I think Tocchet is going to improve nothing honestly. He's pretty much Green with an angry face.
  21. You know, I like this. Also I actually blame this on how happy Canucks nation was during the Oilers 10 year rebuild. Frequently it would be mentioned and people would laugh, "Haha at least we aren't the Oilers, can't even make the playoffs with McJesus". Now we are the Oilers in year 10 of our "re-tool". Ours will be longer since we don't have McJesus.
  22. That's how we turn this team into a winner, change from one of the winningnest coaches to a sub .500 coach with 1 round of playoff experience. Definitely the coach, not the tire fire defense.
