    It was bound to happen sooner or later. And does it really make a difference to those that are watching? In person there's ads on the boards, the power play is sponsored by some company, the jumbotron looks like it has 15% of it's screen space dedicated to something or the other. On the TV it's one ad after another. As long as I can get a jersey without the patch I will be content. And that time is probably going to end sooner rather then later too.

    Honestly, I can see him wanting to got CBJ for hockey related reasons as well. Their organization doesn't appear to be the dumpster fire that is the Flyers. And maybe coaching + role he would have to play in NJ was not as appealing to him as people thought it would be. I love hating on Calgary as much as the next guy, but I think it's good for Columbus that they got the top FA at somewhat of a discount.

    what would you guys be happy with? I would be happy with a 3rd and a 4th for Motte. Don't think we can get a 2nd for him, but would love to be proven wrong.

    if you think about what they gave up for what they're getting, that was a great move by the Blackhawks. The Knights have other concerns today, but this doesn't look good for them in comparison.

    Wild look poised to make a run. Still not sure about their forward depth though, especially down the middle

    As much as I would love for him to be moved today (I want action, I want to see us get assets and of course, I would love to see trades) but if the return is going to be better later, than it makes sense not to. Also kind of feel that by trading him we would make ourselves worse and make our picks better which might be nice.

    Anyone remember the picture of a Canucks defenseman on a dessert box someone used to maybe use as a sit here at some point? I can’t seem to get it out of my head.

    I love the sentiment that Demko's got the net and he owns it but I would be really worried about him burning out like Markstrom when Calgary rode him hard at the start of the season. Let's make sure our guy is getting rest so he can continue to win games for us. Have to find a balance between riding the hot hand and giving him rest and letting Holtby keep us in games. Hopefully when Petty comes back we should be able to score a bit more to get goal support for our net minders.

    I would buy a gaudette 8 jersey ... I was going to get the Tanev 8 ( my favourite player ) but now I don't know who to get. Haven't gotten a jersey since the Hank jersey I bought in 2013
