    I think JT for a conditional 1st would've been fair. I think people focus and put a bit too much value on the 3rd and Mazanek. Mazenek is a tossaway. The 3rd can take some convincing for people but honestly the hit rate isn't great anyway with 3rd round picks. 0.8% of third rounders from 2007-2014 have made an all star team. I pick this time frame because these are the player probably currently in their prime. That's 2 out of 240 players. Brayden Point and Vinny Trocheck

    We have 3 solid goalies. Eriksson’s contract is amongst the league’s worst. The only way we’d be sorely regretting the trade is if Markstrom and Demko miraculously both flop in the coming years and DiPietro does the opposite. Even then, FA is always an option for starting/backups.

    We’ll see after this season. If we’re near dead last again I think there’s no option for the Aquilini’s but to fire Benning. However, I don’t think we will be in that position thankfully.

    I think we’ll have to give up players/picks to trade Eriksson. I’ll be happy with Eriksson and a 4th for a 7th or something.

    I would like it a little more if Tampa wasn’t trying to offload contracts. They were the ones who were trying to get rid of JT so not sure I love the deal. JT on the other hand is solid. Hope he can sustain his level of play for 4 years and I think he can. Does anyone have any advanced stuff on JT?

    Did they make the stick in the rink intentionally so that it had the initials VC? That'd be kinda cool, though it wouldn't mitigate everything awful about the jersey

    C'mon. I enjoy trashing on Toronto as much as others at times, but one person out of 3 million deciding to pull the trigger isn't an excuse to trash on Toronto and their people. That's wrong. Things are bound to happen in masses. Even if the chances are one in a million, well, there were 3 million people. This has nothing to do with class and don't use it as an excuse to say that we're so much better than them.

    Neither did Jordan ever win without another superstar. It just happens that Jordan was gifted Pippen from the start and LeBron was gifted guys like Mo Williams and Zydrunas Ilgauskas as his second options for 7 or 8 years to start his career when he was at his athletic prime. When that happens you would try to recruit good players as well.

    The amount of people that wouldn't trade Boeser for Hughes/Kakko is laughable. Literally no one else other than CDC'ers would share this thought
