AHL site still not updated with the shootout info. Was DiGiuseppe the only scorer? Was Klimovich one of the shooters?

Is there a radio broadcaster for the team?
AHL TV has free games the first weekend. It has a little bit of delay, as it seems like start of the broadcast is taking some time. Once it catches up, the stream is good. It also might have been Bakersfield arena issue last night. Today's game should still be free.

The way he fired that shot; clearly Podkolzin eats his spinach? What a shot! Yes only 7 minutes, but he also got shifts with Petey and Miller? The rest will come.
LOL, Google translated quote from this article...
Podkolzin must correctly perceive the situation and in no case hang his nose.
They are clearly translating the slang verbatim :-). Very familiar with that saying in Russian. It has the same meaning as “keep your chin up”.

good for you romanp but you dont get it just like all the others.
for you there is an advantage and thats okay and for me there is no measurable advantage which is 100% true.
in football i said my coach didnt take timeouts very often why? because we were winning and timeouts in football stop the clock not something your looking to do too often except maybe you need 1 more play in the second half. you can call a timeout if the ball isn't downed out of bounds.
as for your comments I already answered these exact same questions did you not read them or is your motive more devious?
but here maybe you were actually just not paying attention quite well.
this thing about killing momentum is not measurable, so you cannot argue that this a real strategy. Trust me just because your whole life you were taught something doesnt mean its true. if i were to take you seriously prove to me this momentum even exists, you won't be able to so don't bother. you probably don't understand that we can both be right even if i try to prove that doesnt exist. Momentum is nothing more than a idea realistically its bullcrap, once you understand that its bullcrap it doesnt exist anymore. as long as you believe it is entirely true just like superstitions
giving your players a little breather is not an advantage, OMG my dude, everyone gets the break. there is ZERO advantage.
your making adjustments argument the exact same thing, there is zero advantage, because the other team is also allowed the exact same opputunity, please prove to me how this is exclusively the team that made the timeouts advantage. You actually again won't be able to, because it doesn't exist. Zero advantage
There is many reasons to call a timeout but you wont gain an advantage unless there is reasons to stop the clock or maybe gain a positional advantage.
so sorry to say RomanP you proved absolutely nothing
All I can say is lol

seriously, the all great hail mary is a legend. you coach the players during practise and intermissions. a good coach will coach a player when he's on the bench and in football out coach subbed in players with the plays he wanted runned. Our team played at a relentlessly high pace You ran back to huddles called your play ran back to the line and snapped the ball often on the first hut.
our defence was more basic like greens defence we played zone, your not going to change anything and all of a sudden try to play man to man. so again no timeouts just do our thing that has been drilled into is over and over.
i think its you that hasnt played any sports
I was following this discussion quietly until this. Just as a baseline - I played high level volleyball at a junior level in Ukraine back in a day (U18 Ukraine National team in the 80s). I also coach club volleyball the last 10 years and my team won gold medals at Provincial and National Championships. What you say about the timeouts is ridiculously wrong. There are so many reasons for a timeout during the game that go way beyond “setting up a play”. I can name just a few - calm your players down when they are frustrated; kill the momentum of the opposing team; make adjustments in play based on what you, as a coach, see during the game; give your players a little breather; etc. All your arguments make zero sense. Just because your coach didn’t take timeouts, it doesn’t mean that the timeouts are not needed. It just means that your coach, for whatever reason, didn’t want to take the timeouts (not going to pass judgement on his coaching abilities).

You sure he didnt just mean at this level (AHL)?
Yes, pretty sure. He says he played RW all his life.

Im pretty sure he was drafted as a center.
I'm pretty sure when the kid tells me that he plays right wing only it doesn't mean "centre" :-)

I just noticed that he’s marked as C. Can we change it? He’s RW, not C.

I think this same thing happened with both Gadj and MacEwan. I believe it related to a holdup with their work visas.
Most likely. Gadjovich was skating with Abbotsford still on Monday, several days after being claimed by San Jose.

In order to propose a trade, you need a little more than just a list of players on the roster. Sometimes you also need a little bit of brain...

Why? What is the benefit for the Canucks? Klimovich should not be in any trade discussions at this point, period.

Thank the Aquas, nope. They still made their money as most do, by profiting off of others. That’s the motive and owning a hockey team isn’t philanthropist work for a landlord.
it’s a toy or really involved mid life crisis. I took to house building and diesel mechanics, cheaper and more practical, plus I really am a bad skater. Thus I like to mimic Hasek while ‘falling’ a lot on the ice. Lol.
But they will make tons of money from Abby, tons. It will also boost the success of the Canucks and then they stand to make even more money.
It’s an long term capital upgrade to a business asset with tax write offs.
the benefit to fans, it’s makes a better and bigger attachment to players and for prospects, being drafted by Vancouver alone might become a better indication of long term success.
The biggest cost to this franchise over the last 50 or so years was very disappointing player development. It was a massive contribution to the dismal draft record. The shift was slow and started with MG, so better late than never is a way I would look at it.
Let me guess - you voted NDP? lol

Not that I mind the OEL trade, he's looked good
Here’s a little more info - there’s a good chance that Canucks would have still taken Klimovich even if we had 1st round pick. In the 1st round… Also, the kid has one goal - to win a Stanley Cup in Vancouver. He absolutely loves it here.

I'm looking at it from a different perspective - had MacEwen cleared waivers, he would be yet another candidate for a top 6 role in Abbotsford. That would decrease the chance of Klimovich playing in that top 6 role, hence increasing his chances of being sent to Q. If you ask me, I'd rather have Klimovich than MacEwen in top 6 in Abbostford :-)

2-5 in the preseason. They haven't looked that good. Underwhelming actually, considering all of the "improvements" Benning made. Hughes is still getting too cute and losing the puck. Pettersson's one-timer from the slot is the same old predictable shot. Demko hasn't been good. Garland and Hoglander haven't been that good.
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, it's only preseason, but if they start the season chasing the pack, it could be a tough one. Maybe it'll be like a Whitecaps situation - once the head coach is replaced, maybe then they'll start to see results.
2010-2011 season (you know, the one when we made it to game 7 of the Stanley Cup final) - our preseason record was 3-5. Just saying…
