  1. Benning said the super 7 will be in the NHL within 2 to 3 years. You think we will have both demko and marky in 3 years? Definitely unlikely!
  2. Cant see benning trading him for a 3rd or 4th round pick (wayne Simmonds value).
  3. This dude's a beast. If we can resign him we get out ok. Not sure madden translates to the NHL. Pearson-horvat-taffoli It's a big move for jimbo but we are prospect rich and the market is insane.
  4. How about Vey for a 2nd? It was bloody murder around here. 6 years and 10 nhl games later for Mckeown... pretty hush hush. Derek Roy for a 2nd at the deadline was one of the biggest outrages ever.... 7 years later that 2nd round pick has never played an nhl game. That 1st we traded for Ballard takes the cake though. 97 games and 17 points of 4th line minutes before heading to the KHL for the past 5 years.
  5. Whoa there, easy boy! This is CDC, every late first is a guaranteed Corey Perry, every 3rd rounder is Brayden Point and every Marek Mazanec is Dominik Hasek. Just feel lucky that there isn't any 9th round picks these days cause every one of those is a Zetterberg
  6. Not only that but him being in the AHL saves him about $500,000 a year in escrow payments. In effect he has been given a raise to play in Utica.
  7. Yep 5 years later we can finally say the flames might have won that trade.
  8. I still wouldn't trade LE for Lucic. That extra year on Milan's contract is a no go
  9. Funny little article from an armchair gm 4 years ago... https://www.nucksmisconduct.com/2015/1/28/7936371/looking-back-the-canucks-lost-the-cory-schneider-trade-and-it-was-not The Canucks Lost the Cory Schneider Trade and It Was Not Close By devanmalhotra94 on Jan 28, 2015 the return in the trade for the Canucks was lackluster to say the least. While Horvat might develop into a serviceable middle six center, he was not worth trading away a proven NHL goaltender in Cory Schneider. ... However, so far, his career has been unspectacular, at best. Often a healthy scratch, Horvat has been unable to live up to the lofty standards of being the 9th overall pick. More importantly, he has been unable to live up to the lofty standards of being the return for a proven NHL goaltender in Cory Schneider. A classic example of counting your chickens before they are hatched!
  10. I wonder how it's going to be when we flash forward another 4 years.
