No. It doesn’t really matter what stretch of games you look at - our shot rates were similar. What varied was the pucks going in. We had bad goaltending and then Bubble demko reappeared when we had that above .500 streak.
the only difference in the stretches over the course of the season were puck luck because our shot rates were the exact same at different times lol
either way i have ep pencilled in around 7 and hughes in the high 5s
the four series i felt strongly about in terms of who was going to win were boston, carolina, toronto, and colorado’s
the rest were toss ups or i just didn’t care lol
So carolina better get this w
If all that matters in a player’s defensive game is if they controller delete and if they make obvious poor judgement calls, JT Miller would be the worst defensive player in the league.
But he isn’t. He’s a player whose warts were shown when he was played out of position at center.
Is JT Miller a player you don’t want on your team because his defensive deficiencies were exacerbated playing at center? He controller deletes getting back on defense and his puck support/breakouts are terrible.
No. You absolutely want JT Miller because the good he does outweighs the bad and he plays at a level far above the salary he earns.
I just don’t know how you (rightfully but extremely exaggerated) see Nylander as a negative defensively who coaches don’t hold accountable but can’t say the same about an even better example of poor accountability and laziness defensively in a guy like Wheeler.
Toronto isn’t good enough to win the cup but they’re surely the best team in Canada and if they don’t beat make it to the third round, it’ll be a massive failure.
l had the oilers in 7. I thought it would be close... every game was a one goal game with three being OT games but yeah.. brooms out. Expecting a big McDavid trade req this summer.
I’ve never really liked Mantha and they got killed in that Vrana trade.
I don’t know about desire but definitely just seemed like a better built team to me.
Man if this is how pessimistic you are on the oilers, I wonder how you feel about the canucks lol
Jokes aside, it’s been three games that could have had completely different results. I was 55/45 Oilers but both teams aren’t good and are among the worst of all 16 teams left.
I thought this would go 7 with the Oilers pulling it out.
These have all been one goal games (ignoring the EN’s) so who knows?
Maybe Helly has a few bad games in a row.
