Didn't Monahan score 30 goals last year? I thought he scored more than the 27 ES + 19 PP points you have listed. Your math might be a little off. Either way the stats do show there isn't much difference between these two players. I think Horvat might very well be the consensus better pick in a decade's time.

I agree with having Bo sent down, but keep him up and drag out the 9 games until it is time for WJC. Let him wear a letter there and then send him to London after the tournament for London's stretch run and playoffs. As for Gaunce, they do play somewhat similar games but I feel in the long run it will be better for Brendan to spend the full year in the AHL adjusting to pro hockey and developing chemistry with Shinkaruk, Kenins, Jensen etc, so when that next wave of players all make the jump in the next 2 years they will have already spent time playing together and getting to know each other's tendencies. Just my two cents.

This puts Benning in the (un)fortunate position of having to move one of Markstrom, Lack, or Miller before next season starts since he will never clear waivers again. I've got a bottle of Glenfarclas 21 in my closet I bought on my birthday last year (Oct 26) that I'll be polishing off this Sunday before I head down to the Canucks/Capitals game with some friends :D I started my collection about 2 years ago when I discovered there was more to good whiskey than upgrading from Wisers to Jamesons (I'm 22 now). Since then I've tried quite a few bourbons, single malts, and blended scotches and found myself preferring single malts, followed by bourbon. Some of my favourites: Laphroaig Quarter Cask Highland Park 18 (I've had the 12 and am not so much a fan) Springbank 12 Macallan 10 & 12 Oban 14 (might be my current favourite) Jura Superstition (highly recommend this one if you're looking for something in the $70-80 range and are a fan of peat) Bourbons: Eagle Rare, Bookers, Breaking & Entering Other ones I have tried and enjoyed, but not tasted enough to have a strong opinion on are: Ardbeg 10, Dalwhinnie, Bowmore 10, Macallan 18. Any suggestions on what to try next? I like a balanced, peaty flavour that's not too salty. Oban & Laphroaig would be good examples. The Writer's Tears has definitely caught my attention.
