  1. Terrible luck for Bo and the team. Well they are now true Cinderella story from here on out.
  2. Nah they win the tiebreaker with us so it doesn't matter, we need to win two more than them down the stretch regardless.
  3. Big game! The atmosphere at the Rog should be a big help to the Canucks tonight. They haven't always done well at home but I think this time we need the fans to push us over the top of the "Stone" Cold Cheaters. Just win baby!
  4. If Van wins 8 of 10 including beating Vegas and LA then this needs to happen: LA goes 4 and 4 in their other remaining games (other than the one with us) Vegas goes 5 and 4 in their remaining games (other than the one with us) If that happens we finish with 94 pts LA 94 pts and Vegas 92 pts, We win the tiebreaker with LA with more regulation wins and we finish 3rd in the division. We play Edm in the first round.
  5. Not true. We play Ari SJ Ott and Seattle. That's 4 teams below us. Then we play Dal Vegas and LA. All teams we are chasing. So our schedule leads to being in the hunt if we beat the 4 teams below us and can beat the 3 teams we are chasing.
  6. Same age as Demko. Nice fit for the back up going forward.
  7. I agree. Likely Burroughs and Hunt are in first and Rathbone doesn't play. Not that I am good with that.. Every nux fan would like to see Jack get another look this year after 9 games in the Green debacle. Let's see what he can bring right? Also wanted to say Dickinson and Poolman both had lousy games their first games back from long layoffs. Burroughs has been off for a long time. Rathbone has been playing well every game for the last couple weeks in Abby. Another reason to put him in.
  8. Miller is not worth that much partner. He's 29 and is only under contract for a year more. He will be 30 next year and that's it for his contract. He's having a career year which is great but not a secret. The answer to turn the nux around may include a deal on Miller but it's not the whole answer by any means. At the same time we could keep him and climb the mountain a different route. Our new management is tasked with this job. Are they up to it? I don't know. I hope so - but I don't know.
  9. Under Green 8 - 15 -2 Under Boudreau 24 - 13 - 8 Total at 4/4/22 32 - 28 -10 Calgary is at .654 on the year. Under Boudreau Van is .622 That's the facts.
  10. Hughes Trade Oel Myers Dermott Poolman Rathbone Schenn I expect we may see something like this next year. I think Rathbone has another year of waiver ineligibility so he can come up and down. With injuries he will be up a lot. Dermott can play either side. Schenn can play up and down. So there is some depth. Big key is finding that 21 to 25 y/o RHD partner to pair with Hughes for many years to come.
  11. It's a good article. I think Martin benefitted from training camp time in Vancouver with Clark. During the regular season though Clark is director of organizational goaltending but Sanford does the day to day work with Martin. Clark and Martin won't have a lot of time together during the regular season due to travel schedules etc. However, your point is well taken. It may well be that Martin views the opportunity to have Clark as his everyday coach in Vancouver of a significant benefit and might be the main reason he signs a 1 or 2 year deal to back up Demko. Let's hope so!
  12. Curtis Sanford is the Abby goaltenders coach, Clark is the Vancouver goaltenders coach. Are you sure Martin gets time with Ian Clark or you just guessing that he does?
  13. Sorry for the last 2 losses to St. Louis. Might just be the end of the playoff dream. Sad but could be it.
  14. Ok let's say you're the GM of any other team in the league. What do you think of Poolman at 2.5M for 3 years and what are you exactly willing to give up for that player on that contract? Ya nothing. He is untradeable right now.
