I'm kinda hoping he signs in San Jose because I don't think he'd be interested in a deal with the Canucks that wasn't long term. I'd be fine with a three year deal but no longer.
I think he's gonna be reaching for term with any team he signs with tbh and I'm not confident in his ability to consistently produce. He's gonna be paid a pretty penny for a guy who's broken 45 points once at the NHL level.
I don't think he'll want to sign with a rebuilding team. SJ is his first legit shot at being in the playoffs and he's never been to the post-season before
