10 player pool but it's a head-to-head.

Depending on the pool type, (in these cases, forward points = defensive points), I always take forwards first.. opting to take gambles with defense. ie. Bogosian, Suter, Visnovsky, Johnson.

Is the potential upside of Visnovsky better than what Niskanen would bring? I have Wideman, Gonchar, Erik Johnson, Suter, and Bogosian. Should I take the risk and go with Visnovsky or go with Niskanen, who'd be a safer pick at this point? Also, Vis beats Nis in +/- and PPP. There's no PIMs.

Id say go with niskanen

Only a six team league, explaining the depth. I had sixth pick and two people passed on Parise for Carter and Luongo. I didn't draft a goalie until about round 6 or 7. Took Parise and Green in Round 1 and 2. I was very happy to get Heatley and was able to nab Hossa fairly late, which is awesome (yes, I know he's recovering from surgery).

This was the first live draft I've ever done and it was awesome! :)
