Amish Rake Fighter Posted April 6, 2012 Share Posted April 6, 2012 Phoenix still has a shot at the Pacific Division title and if the Blues win, it puts them in the driver's seat for the Western Conference title. The Blues have more regulation wins than the Canucks so they win the tiebreaker. A regulation loss by the Blues in either of their last 2 games and a win or OT loss by the Canucks over Edmonton gives the Canucks the top seed in the West. Although currently seeded eighth in the West, the Coyotes also still control their destiny in the race for the Pacific Division title. Phoenix is one point behind Los Angeles and San Jose for the division crown, but with two games left, the Coyotes have a game in hand over both clubs. STL appeared to be fully into resting mode against the Jackets but they now have an outside shot at the conference title and even the President's, meanwhile as you said Phoenix suddenly find themselves with a shot at the jumping from 8th in the conference to 3rd. I can't wait for this tilt. If Phoenix wins in regulation the Blues cannot win the President's and will more than likely be completely in rest mode tomorrow.
