billabong
i was thinking that maybe when the wolves season is over then the canucks could call up whoever they want with no repercussions??? or is there no way around it...
Odjickwillkillyou
No. He is still subject to another team picking him up if they are ahead of us on the waiver wire. LA included. Given his skill and decent cap hit, someone would grab him.
Pears
Unless MG secretly calls up Reinprecht without letting anyone know, then its impossible.
n00bxQb
For Reinprecht, there's no way around it. Although it would be a highly d-bag move for someone to claim him considering he's in the final year of his contract and he wouldn't be able to play for whatever team picks him up. 13.2 The "Playing Season Waiver Period" shall begin on the twelfth (12th) day prior to the start of the Regular Season and end on the day following the last day of a Club's Playing Season. NUCKS4CUP 28
So we traded for Reinprecht because we was supposed to be "our guy" for the playoffs, and now we don't call him up. I knew we should have had him on the NHL team from the very beginning.

Tangelos
that 'clown' has more cup rings than those 2 have combined NHL career games.
Slegr
It's odd that neither MG nor AV seemed to recognize this. They both talked about him like he could potentially come up for the playoffs. Didn't they hire someone specifically to handle cap related issues, and wouldn't someone in management have recognized this?

dura_mater
umm what's your point? Ben Eager has a cup. Does that make him a good player?
WiDeN
Yeah, he can really be called up when ever. No one is going to claim him. He can't play for the team that claims him till next season, and he is one the last year of his deal. He is available, but Gillis is happy with his centers. 5minutesinthebox
d-bag moves have been done before though. remember the canucks signed backes to an RFA offer sheet in which stl matched and then turned around and signed bernier to a RFA offer sheet.....
