JimLahey
I feel the employees acted appropriately, what else could they have done?

Buddhas Hand
Who steals a snickers bar anyway? If you're going to steal, make it something worth stealing.
Tearloch7
If you are rich you can get away with murder , but if you are black and poor you will not get away with that snickers bar
JimLahey
Not according to the employer which is why one was fired and two are undergoing further training to bring them in line with the employer's policy on such matters. Per 7-Eleven's corporate head office - "7-Eleven, Inc. does not condone action that restrains customers or suspected robbers. As a matter of fact, this precept is part of a formal program we offer franchisees to use in training their employees."

MoneypuckOverlord
employees overreacted there, over a snickers bar. I use to work in a similar environment, so I understand the employees. That being said, I need to hear both sides of the story first. Snickers bar is a Snicker bar, that being said, shop lifting is also shop lifting wether it's a 1 dollar item, or a 150 dollar item, it's the same. I want to hear both sides of the story.
