D-Money Posted February 21, 2013 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Most of my favourite Hip songs are well-known singles. I also really enjoyed Boots or Hearts, Thugs, and Chagrin Falls. After Phantom Power though, I pretty much stopped listening to them though. I did like a few songs on World Container though, in particular the title track, which was not a single. Tearloch7 Posted February 21, 2013 Share Posted February 21, 2013 I must double post and tell you this story too. My daughter was just in San Fran visiting some friends down there before Christmas. Friend says to her "hey, wanna go to a show tonight?...it's really cheap ($25) and it's a Canadian band...I don't know them, but my friends say they're good and they're all going". He couldn't remember the name. So she gets ready and they head to The Fillmore. And she was floored when The Hip walked out on the stage! We love them. She called me every song and put her phone in the air for me to hear. And she brought me a very cool shirt. So talk about one of life's unexpected little treats....she'd always wanted to see them (her brother and I both have), so she had her moment. aGENT Posted February 22, 2013 Share Posted February 22, 2013 Anybody else seen Gord's solo/Country of Miracles shows? Saw them in 2010/2011...FANTASTIC low key and fun concert.
