sorry yes that was just a typo...it goes with a conversation I had with a guy who played with a lot of players that were drafted in early 2000's..in the A and ECHL, they all agreed that the missing component wasn't usually on ice success, because there are far more than just one thousand nhl ready players in the world, there are thousands and thousands at that level, it comes down to opportunity. Crosby is a bad example but lets use his name anyway: obviously he is human and has bad days on the ice. If the one time that year that scout A was in town to view a game Crosby was in, and he had one of his rare bad games, scout A would not make any special notation about him, and possibly a negative one.

Now if your not at the elite level of guaranteed awesome like Crosby...the few times you get the opportunity to showcase your talents, you just never know if that is gonna be an off night. Some guys only get a look or two and are quickly passed over who will then go on to have outstanding international career or careers in other leagues that span 2 decades, and the difference is mostly opportunity to showcase. I am guessing that is what happened here. This guys OHL numbers are huge, but with not much on paper before the OHL he came out of no where, at least by N.A. scouting standards...

good guy to have the rights to. Well done.
