CanuckClown
The jobs are building the infrastructure for the LNG and pipelines and then the production and delivery. it doesn't happen in a month.
Cyril Sneer
My god, what in the hell are they spending money on? We get taxed as hard as it gets and we still can't balance the books. Time to drill, I work in geology, and it is a well known assumption that formations are very likely rich in the east of whistler coming down to the Oakanagan valley. Cardium sands, and duvernay formations are probably bursting with oil. We need the CP to come into BC and capitalize on fortuitous geological situation. All the tree huggers will be pissed but with how BC regulates it would only be done in a completely closed loop system.
ilduce39
Who cares about debt? They just send you a dumb letter with bold red print, then they still sell you a car and the house in spite of it all.
Heretic
would it really matter what party was in power? They are all just basically just lyers and crooks....as long as they serve long enough to get that gold plated pension plan we will all have to pay for... skolozsy2
This is true. It doesn't really matter. What matters though is, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. So, the longer a particular group stays in power, the worse it gets for the rest of us. What would be best is if the party and/or members change every 4 years - that would teach politicians if they want the "power" then they better earn it. DonLever
Debt is not only a BC problem. Its worldwide. Look at the bankruptcy of Detroit. Lots of countries (like Greece), cities, are bankrupt. And who is to blame? It is really us for electing politicians who spend like drunken sailors.
taxi
This thread is full of stupid. Firstly: The drop in revenue was mostly due to the decline in resource sectors including petroleum, natural gas, natural resources and minerals, he said.
CanuckClown
This thread is full of stupid. Firstly: Were the NDP or Greens supporting increased oil and gas exploration? All of the parties running acknowledged they would run a deficit. The NDP/Greens wanted to spend more and run a higher deficit. The Liberals are attempting to solve the issue, long term, through cuts. NDP/Greens want to increase spending. Who's right? Who knows, only time will tell. Criticizing the Liberals over the NDP due to a short term deficit = stupid.
