harjnijh
K, so i dont understand how the top scorers in the whl didnt get drafted or got drafted very late?
Drouin
Was it Nic Petan? If so, my guess would be size. Rattie is already drafted so can't get drafted. Same reason with Shinkaruk, if he was atleast 6'0 or taller/bigger, he'd easily go top

Rey
When it comes to prospects, It's never about points. I mean, it's important but you have to look at every attribute that can allow you to translate your skill to the NHL level. Nic Petan is 5'9. Brendan Leipsic is also 5'9, and put up even more points on the same team. It's hard to tell with these guys. Ty Rattie, a prized prospect is also on the team, so he's playing on a pretty stacked line. Reminds me of Justin Azevedo - http://www.hockeydb....y.php?pid=80238 Put up points everywhere, but was just too small to get a shot in the NHL. Size will always be an issue. Remember though, Martin St.Louis was never drafted.

canucks#01fan
He'll eventually get a chance to show if he is good enough, his size scares teams away
shinkaruk98
Same reason why Droiun didn't get drafted number one in the NHL draft.

Pears
Size was the biggest factor for Petan but there were also 30+ players that were better than him but he got #3 cause of his pure skill and offensive abilities, Drouin/Stamkos would scare opposing teams. Phamda
Size was the biggest factor for Petan but there were also 30+ players that were better than him I would not be surprised in 3-4 years to see those two score between 60-100 goals combined.
