Lenny Jones
I think, like Santorelli, they are waiting to see how he develops by the end of the season. I think that it's beneficial for him, because if he can continue to refine his defensive game, he could be a staple on the top 6 by the end of the year. if he regresses or stays his old, inconsistent self... you get the idea. He could demand up to 2mil/per for 2-3 years if he can crack the healthy top 6.
oldnews
I agree 100% but it can also go the other way. "Kassian has scored a few goals lately, time to overvalue him" Cheers. Nice to see you back.
Warhippy
3 year Bridge contract at $2 million and see how he progresses. He'll be a bargain if he can manage 25, 45 and 50+ point seasons and by the we will have the cap space to sign him long term or will know if he's just trade bait
oldnews
You dont have to look into the future to see Kassian is a horrible skater with no shot and no offensive creativity. But dont take my word for it. His lack of skills will be on display tonight once again. Unless Kassian doesnt play tonight which is always a possibility considering how lousy he's been playing. CanuckPowar
3yr 6mil 2 mil for next season would be an overpayment based on this year's results and then hope the next two seasons he outperforms his paychq. Otherwise an 'earn your stripes' kinda of deal would be best at 1-2 years/1.2-1.3mill per. Really thats all hes earned so far. Really like his potential tho, just needs to bring it like a pro every shift being physical.
