Lol every gm does that. No way they throw in l schenn for salary reasons. They are as high up on him as ever. They just traded jvr for him.

Last season Luke Schenn in his first season as a Flyer logged over 21 minutes a game, was among the team leaders in plus/minus, and led all NHL defensemen in hits with 187 while the #2 player only had 153. Schenn also led the Flyers in blocked shots and was tied for 15th in the NHL among defensemen in blocked shots.

But he had a poor start to this season (has been slowly getting better and seeing a slow but steady increase in ice time again) so people assume he is a bust and has no value so he is just a throw in piece to balance cap now xD

Shallow draft Simmonds and a 2nd and 3rd or Simmonds and a 1st. Issue is that Philly needs scoring more than they need yet more D with moderate cap hits.

reason i said schenn was maybe tortorella could help his game and play a role like girardi did in ny. not to as high of a degree but he is young. they would need to send salary back, and have alot of dmen making good money. Guess the only other options would be grtossman or meszaros.
