New tUnE-yArDs is...well, difficult. It's all over the place.

That said, with repeated listens, it reveals that it is also very good. Maybe not Whokill good, but still a great album.

Whokill is the shiz. New album, not so much.

As for the new Damon Albarn, haven't listened to it yet. I do agree with The Great Escape, easily the best Blur album, and all of them are terrific. The Universal is a beautiful song.

Just got the new Beck album. It's alright. I've listened to it nearly twice through. Definitely good to listen to while reading a book, drinking some wine on the patio/deck watching the sunset. Can't say where it ranks quite yet compared to his other work, because I haven't listened to it enough. Considering that it is in the same style as Sea Change, my initial reaction; "Not as good as Sea Change." However, Sea Change has one of my top 5 favourite songs of all time on it, and may be my favourite Beck album.

I'm enjoying Nikki Nack in spurts, but it's still hard to make it through the whole album in one listen. Whokill wasn't like that - I think I listened to it 3 times back-to-back-to-back on a couple of occasions...was sooooo great.

And although Great Escape is my favourite, I've always been partial to Think Tank as well. To me, the new Damon Albarn reminds me a lot of that album, only not as interesting (IMHO).

I don't think there are many better lyrical verses out there than this: Sound of Silver, talk to me Makes you want to feel like a teenager Until you remember the feelings of A real-life emotional teenager Then you think again... ...But still, I wouldn't have tried to build a 7 minute song around it. Other than that though, the album is fantastic.
