UltimateEvin
Recently, PK Subban has been in Therrien's doghouse recently and perhaps he's growing unhappy in Montreal. If we were to trade for him, we could potentially sign him for less than market value so he can play with his brother Jordan. VAN Acquires: PK Subban MTL Acquires: Chris Tanev + 1st Round Pick (2014) + 2nd Round Pick (2015) We finally get a PP specialist that we have sorely missed since Ehrhoff. With this, our lineup defence pairings are as follows: Hamhuis - Subban Edler - Garrison Stanton - Bieksa The only question mark is the Edler-Garrison pairing. What are your thoughts? ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Winnipeg scratched Evander Kane tonight, perhaps he's getting sick of the situation? VAN Acquires: Evander Kane WPG Acquires: Jannik Hansen + Hunter Shinkaruk + Third Round Pick (2014) I realize that this may be a tough pill to swallow but gaining a power forward like Kane for LW is hard to turn down. In addition, Jannik Hansen is cleared to make roster pace but is also a nice little trade chip due to his reasonable contract. With this trade, our line-up looks as follows: Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Kane - Kesler - Higgins Matthias - Horvat - Kassian Booth - Richardson - Archibald Extras: Dalpe, Santorelli Hamhuis - Subban Edler - Garrison Stanton - Bieksa Lack Markstrom (Sestito in the minors) What do you think? Rush17
Your trade values are very realistic. I think Subban is the only player I would ever want us to trade Tanev for. I am a bit bias'd though but I think Tanev is only scratching the surface. I like the Kane deal but tbh I'm to much of a shink lover. I think Shink will turn out to be better then Kane in the long haul. If this was 2 years ago and we had shink maybe. but personally Shink is just to good to risk giving up. Besides our 1st and 2nd this year are very valuable to our re-tool. I love your realistic valuing though because those are some realistic trades. JE14
I don't think the Canucks are at the point they should be trading their top 10 picks.

SuperSakic
Montreal just laughs in your face! Kane would be interesting but i would rather rebuild properly this core can't get it done, time to shut it down and start over.
L. Stanley
we need a future 1C, I say if that is not available at the draft then either draft fleury or trade that first in a package for Kane 20141st, Hansen, McNally for Kane

L. Stanley
If we cannot get a highend centerman, and I would put Nylander in that group, then I would either draft fleury or trade the pick for Kane. If we draft Fleury, I would trade 2015 1st for Kane in a package Hansen, 2015 1st, labate for Kane Sedin Sedin Burrows Kane Kesler Jensen Higgins Horvat Kassian Santo Richardsson Matthias

Wow I actually really liked that proposal! Except for the fact that Evander Kane will likely not be traded to Vancity anytime soon because he assaulted someone. I also think that the Nucks need to acquire a young goalie with lots of experience.
canucks155
MTL one is horrible for Montreal. P.K. is a top 5 dman in the league. If he can be more disciplined and play better defesnisivly by even a little bit, he might move into the top 3. He's in all likeleyhood going to be the highest paid dman in the league. Why would MTL take that when they can get 4 1st rounders if somebody offers $8.4+ for an offer sheet? P.K is worth waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than what u offered. A good starting point in aqurining him would be a TOP (Horvat only on nucks) prospect, good roster player (Kesler), 1st and something else (maybe another prospect like Guance). It wwould be horrible for us, but that's what it would take.WPG one could work. I'm so on the fence about whether I'd do it or not. I think I'd like it if we took the 3rd out. Shink has already had hip suregery and is only 5'11. Kane on the other hand is 6'2 has had suregery also, is 3 years older and he's also a BC boy. I'd rather get Kane because I loved him on the Vancouver Giants but I also love Shink. Damn, this trade is 50/50 for me. I would rather have Guance, Hansen and a 2nd rounder, but I'm not sure that it would work...
