Sure they're a contender, but he'd be behind Pietrangelo, Shattenkirk, and Bouwmeester on the depth chart. At least in Tampa he has the chance to be the #2 defeceman there just behind Hedman. I'm just thankful we were able to get his cap off the books. We had way too much money tied up on the back end, with average results.
