NatureBoy
Might be old news to some, but news to me. Tony G revealed apparently Garrison declined to waive NTC to go STL in a deal that wasn't certain, but speculation was it potentially involved Berglund. http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2014/10/rumours-and-revelations-garrison-refused-to-waive-his-no-trade-clause/ If true, boy that would have been a nice deal, almost a steal without even compared to just the draft pick we got. DownUndaCanuck
Probably would have been Garrison for Berglund straight up. That would have been our 3rd line center right there, but I preferred getting a 2nd rounder that turned into Vey, who may well end up more than a 3C as he's young and got more upside than Berglund. That being said, this would have been a good lineup: Sedin - Sedin - Vbrata Burrows - Bonino - Higgins Kassian - Berglund - Shinkaruk Hansen - Richardson - Matthias

2SKATES1STICK
I don't buy it. Garrison had most of his success in Florida, a move to Tampa made perfect sense if he was looking to continue to grow.

This is probably something he overheard at Dennys while he was eating his senior slam.
Tom Sestito
It's true. It was a talking point around the draft as well.

BeefGormley
I'm still glad we got Vey. Way more upside than Berglund. Berglund no doubt is a big boi.

timberz21
I just don't get why would STL need Garrison. Already 3 offensive D with Piet, JayBo and Shattenkirk.

NatureBoy
Berglund is big guy and always considered him a top 6 player. Sedin Berglund Bonino As our top 3 centers, would have been solid

DeNiro
This is what happens when you give players NTC's. You can thank Gillis for that. I'm just thankful we were able to get his cap off the books. We had way too much money tied up on the back end, with average results.
