Bure.10
Trade #1: To DET: Kevin Bieksa, 2016 3rd To VAN: 2015 1st, Tyler Bertuzzi If Andrej Sekera can go for a 1st and a prospect, so can Bieksa. Detroit is going for another cup run and need help on D, Canucks use the money saved on Bieksa to re-sign Tanev. Bieksa wouldn't just be a rental for Detroit as he has another year left on his contract at a reasonable price which makes him even more valuable as a trade asset Trade #2: To MTL: Higgins To VAN: 2nd or 3rd, whatever we can get. MTL is looking for depth and with most rental players having already been traded, Higgins would probably be their cheapest option Trade #3: To WSH: Jensen, Vey and 2015 2nd To VAN: Madison Bowey Not sure of the value here but would this be enough to pry bowey from the caps? Rex425
No need to trade away. Playoff teams should never trade away. And currently we are one.
Ryan Strome
Op you called Higgins a rental for Montreal... It didn't work out to well when he played there before. Doubt they trade for him.
qwijibo
Op you called Higgins a rental for Montreal... It didn't work out to well when he played there before. Doubt they trade for him. This. Plus he's not on an expiring contract. Even if they had interest in him they would need to send salary back so they don't hit cap issues next season
Toews
Sekera is a significantly better player these past couple of years compared to Bieksa.
Bure.10
Op you called Higgins a rental for Montreal... It didn't work out to well when he played there before. Doubt they trade for him. I never called him a rental, I said most rentals have been traded already. And he played in Montreal a long time ago and at that time, he was relied upon for a lot more offense since he was a first round pick. This time around, his role would be different. Bure.10
Sekera is a significantly better player these past couple of years compared to Bieksa. That's an over statement. Sekera had one good season last year and that's it. He's been an average/decent player overall in his career. Bieksa has been much better and more consistent than sekera over his career. Bieksa is a legit top 4 d-man on any team, and top 4 d-men don't come cheap
