DownUndaCanuck
Rumours swirling that Kessel is going to be moved before the draft for prospects or picks. The Leafs are in full rebuild mode and already have a few picks in the upcoming first round. Meanwhile the Kings are at a cross-roads. With Kessel 27 years old, he's got some good years to go, and the Kings aren't ready for a rebuild, even on the fly. They've got a great core and will want to milk it for wins before they consider trading away their core. TO LAK: Phil Kessel (1M cap retained by Toronto) TO TOR: 13th overall pick Toronto drafts: #4 - Dylan Strome #13 - Jakub Zboril #24 - Oliver Kylington The Leafs are suddenly stacked down the middle, with a few guys able to play the wing. Strome - Nylander - Kadri bring a good comination of size, speed and skill. Kylington and Zboril give them both skill and size on the blueline too. N7Nucks
Does the cap exist? Does this belong here? Stay tuned.
Nuxfanabroad
Only way Kessel would go there is if the Leafers alleviate the Kings cap-situation. EG:Kessel, Robidas or Polak + avg prospect. (about 11 mill cap hit) for, Mike Richards, Gaborik, Muzzin & their 1st(about 14.5 mill cap hit, total)

Realtor Rod
NHL 15, turn off salary cap and yes this works. Otherwise, the cap is a non-starter
LOL_dre
The only way this happens is if the kings can move Richards, which I doubt will happen. If they do manage it they can let Williams walk and replace Stoll with Richardson or Campbell which should keep them under the cap.
Piggy Bank
Good idea. Except allow more cap coming back to the Leafs Kessel for 13th and Adrian Kempe and Mike Richards Draft Strome, Kylington, and Van De Sompel
