Hunter.S-Kerouac
Looks as though his time may be up in Buff. There is talk of a buyout etc. What if anything would you give up. Salary retained? http://stats.nhlnumbers.com/teams/BUF?year=2016 http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/sabres-cody-hodgson-a-buyout-candidate/
HC20.0
Even with retained salary, I wouldn't trade for him or his contract. Hodgson's a lot like Alex Daigle, tons of skill, no work ethic or heart. With the salary he's got, he's not worth anything right now.
Nuxfanabroad
Daigle could skate. Pat Falloon 2.
thejazz97
What's Hodgson worth in a trade? I think I had a fry from McDonalds that I threw at my friend's truck, I'll see if it's still there...
Baer.
I'd rather have McMillan
D-Money
Because of his age, buyout is only 1/3 of his salary. But next season is too late for that, so they have to make the decision now. Retaining salary makes little sense. Cap hit for buying him out will be <800K per season (although stretched over 8 years. They'd have to retain a lot more cap than that to get a significant asset back for him.
proheffanol
Considering where our depth in centres is at right now in the minors, and that I would personally vouch at keeping Bonino as a 2nd line C next season, have Horvat on the 3rd line, and I would want to resign Richy to be our 4th line C...there is absolutely no room for Hodgson in Vancouver and with how he left still lingering in my mind, he can back the hell away from here. If anything Hodgson should sign a 1 year $1 million deal in somewhere like Nashville where he can prove that he can still perform.
