Horvat already showed towards the end and in the playoffs he should be the 2nd line centre on this team. That's why the sutter trade and contract made no sense. We had sedin, horvat, mccann and cassels as centres for the future with another centre spot not opening up until the Sedins retired. Now they're trying sutter with the Sedins because they don't want to look foolish having their expensive new signing being the 3rd line centre. If sutter does not stick with the Sedins he will be the 3rd line centre behind horvat this year because horvat is just a beast and the team should have been able to see his progression coming and never should have made the sutter trade.

A 3rd line center on a WD team gets similar minutes to a 2nd center. Also, if Sutter is gonna replace the Kesler role on the Sedin PP he's going to have better stats than he has in the past a 3rd line C.

They moved a worse center and five spots down in the draft and a player who'd be on waivers at the moment for Sutter, so the only questionable thing is the dollar amount. While I agree it was a bit overkill, if the cap does go up to 74-75M it won't look that bad, and Sutter will look good with his old Super Series linemate Milan Lucic next year.

I see your point but Sutter can still be the third line centre and get 2nd line ice time. Depending on 1pk and 2ndpp and matchups.

If they play together all year I wouldn't be surprised if next year that's our first line.

Gotta pretty good feeling by the end of this year Bo will be our best player. The kid looks poised for stardom early. He's the kind of player that makes his line mates 10 times better(kenins). It makes way too much sense to get jake and Sven on his wings now. We'll be that much better next year.

Seriously?

Did you actually see that or are you just hyperventilating? As far as when Kenins and Bo were concerned, go back and look at the games, it was a two way street. Dorsett too helped Bo.

I know it's great to use hyperbole and elevate young players way beyond the reality but you do realise that only makes the hate on here worse if they start having a bad run.

As for Virt, McCann and Hutton, let's just allow them to get their feet under them and prove that they belong in the regular season before we start hoisting their numbers in the rafters.

Oops there we go with the crystal ball again. Man, I must get one of those and send it to JB. Then we will be invincible.

You do realise up there in "firegillis world" that McCann and Cassels haven't played a season in the NHL yet?

WD would get a heart attack, fall down the stairs and injure his hip again if he saw this thread.

Ni way he puts 3 young guys together. As for the vote though, yes.

You're right, no way any sane Coach, who actually wanted to stay employed would put 3 prospects on the 2nd line for a season. Not unless we want to f-ck up our D and cripple the Sedins while we accelerate to a No1 draft pick.

But hey, this is only CDC WORLD so drop your pants and wade out there.
