I think McCann needs to be sent to WJs as well. The team just sucks, we don't need him here right now, let him have some fun and put up some points, not like he's gone before.

Then call up Gaunce, Grenier/Shink, and let Pedan play over Weber and I bet we start winning some games.

This wasn't a bad game really, the score is misleading in that the Canucks were pretty much in the game until CHI scored their 2nd midway through the 3rd. Willie panicked and pulled Miller, then it became 3-0. That last goal was just a sad way to end the game. We all know our vets are older, slower, less gritty, but what I find frustrating is the lack of production from our younger players. These players are young, yes, but it's time to start producing on the score sheet. They have skills, just no confidence. Higgins and Burrows' contributions have fallen off the planet and we can't just rely on the Sedins, Hansen and Vrbata to get all of our points. McCann gets a pass here, as he's at least showing a lot of effort to score. Virtanen also gets a pass, because, well, he just isn't ready. Maybe next year.

Bo Horvat  2 - 6 = 8 (-14) in 31 games

Sven Baertschi  2 - 5 = 7 (-2) in 25 games

At last, someone who actually recognises the problems Willie faces with this team when so many players are out through injuries and we are relying on youngsters to do a vet's job out there.

This was a pretty even game, even the shots were 30 a piece but go through the lines and you will realise we should not have even been in the game when you see what Willie had at his disposal. We are a good team but we are going to continue to find it hard to get anything out of a game when we are so lop sided, no matter how hard our guys try.

the canucks have demonstrated over the past 15 games that they just are not good enough

it now seems likely they will finish below both edmonton and calgary this year

but we are not ready to announce a rebuild yet.. i wonder
