Blue Jay 22
G Corey Crawford, Chicago Blackhawks G Braden Holtby, Washington Capitals G Carey Price, Montreal Canadiens D Drew Doughty, Los Angeles Kings D Duncan Keith, Chicago Blackhawks D Marc-Edouard Vlasic, San Jose Sharks D Shea Weber, Nashville Predators F Jamie Benn, Dallas Stars F Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins F Jeff Carter, Los Angeles Kings F Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins F Ryan Getzlaf, Anaheim Ducks F Tyler Seguin, Dallas Stars F Steven Stamkos, Tampa Bay Lightning F John Tavares, New York Islanders F Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks First thing that jumps out to me is Vlasic over Pietrangelo and Carter over Perry and Hall. I know these aren't the finalized rosters, but still: Carter: 775 games: 564 points (0.72PPG) 31 years old Perry: 783 games: 647 points (0.82PPG) 30 years old Hall: 364 games: 317 points (.87PPG) 24 years old I went straight to their career stats because Carter is not even having a better season than either of these guys. My primary focus is on Team Canada in general rather than all of the World Cup rosters in general since there is a good majority of Canucks on this board

I kind of understand why though, given the brass's obsession with balancing out LHD's with RHD's.

Hodgson!!
Confused about Carter. I remember seeing something during the olympics showing that his advanced stats are really good, forgot exactly what it was tho..
Tortorella's Rant
I would've taken Luongo over Crawford because of the experience. Can't go wrong either way though I guess.

Apple Juice
The only headscratcher there is Carter but other than that, this team is near damn perfect. We can argue the case that Crawford shouldn't be there but we've seen Crawford time and time again come up with huge saves and help the Hawks win. Crawford has developed nicely into that steady starting goalie, I'd say nearly elite, and has really come into his own. Although Luongo did mention that if there was an injury, he would be the next guy up to fill a spot.
