hockeygod77
im not up to par in the gm role ..so how do you call up guys but they never play then send them down then back up the up and down and ya go home ..come back..pedan labatte demo etc..try them out who cares if they beat the hurricanes 7 nothing lose to the oilers..they need to explore now. i know there are procedures or insurance tactics so if the starter goes down etc..just state playing them..if they have no future trade them or move them... Absolutely this should have been the philosophy from JB's day one. We are three years behind where we should be. It's like pulling a bandaid off slowly; this "retool" philosophy only prolongs the pain, don't you think?
bishopshodan
I agree put in Pedan and Labate. Would not have played Demko though, he doesn't need to get shelled behind our thin D-core.Dressed lineup is the coaches call though , no?
Green Building
Insurance against gameday injuries, and experience. Even if they are in the press box or on the bench not playing, being that age and "in the NHL" is a pretty big deal. It could be quite motivating. I'm glad Demko didn't play against Washington. He's still learning the AHL game, let alone the NHL version. He probably would have been shelled.
