ABNuck Posted December 25, 2016 Share Posted December 25, 2016 We all love the hardest shot competition...but in reality...of what use is that skill in today's NHL? I would love to either see that competition altered or a new competition added as follows: 1/ keep the radar gun 2/ put a 9" high plank out about 20ft in front of the shooter 3/ put targets in the net So in order for the hardest shot to be counted it has to: a] clear the blocker in front (obviously) b] hit one of the targets in the net Now we'll see which shooters from the point (D-men + forwards playing PP point specialists) have the real skill that is actually effective in the game today.
