In the first 3 rounds, Mayweather barely threw anything of worth.  He couldn't figure Conor out.  Starting in the fourth, Mayweather finally decided to advance on Conor.  After that, Mayweather took the next 3.  Then Conor picked back up on the 2 after that and gave as good as he got.  Then by the end of the 8th, he was too gassed.  Mayweather beat him up in the 9th and took him out in the 10th.

In the post fight interviews which even showed what was being said between rounds in each corner, the fight went exactly as planned, Mayweather Sr tells Mayweather Jr at the end of rd 3 now is the time and again at the end of rd 4.They knew Macgregor wasn't used to going past 25 mins and he would tire.

Macgregor could have lost the fight on points deducted for hammer blows and holding behind the head had the ref so wanted but he stopped it in rd 10 for a guy defenseless and not making any attempt to defend himself.Even in MMA the fight can be stopped for lack of fighting and lack of defense so no complaints there.

Macgregor did say they had trained for a 12 rd fight and believed if the ref had let him get through rd 10 back to his corner he could have got a second wind ( as Quoted )

Looking at Mayweather after the fight he looks untouched,Macgregor on the other hand has a well marked face.

Conor was never going to win the fight on points so getting anything deducted wouldn't have mattered.  As for the rest, Mayweather had trouble with him until Conor started to gas.  Even Stephen A. from ESPN thought he was looking tired in the 4th going into the fifth.

Conor did what a good number of people expected.  Looked very good for the first few rounds.  Got tired like he has done in MMA, then Mayweather took over and slowly beat him into a TKO.  I predicted that earlier in the thread well before today.  The only way Conor was going to win was to rock Mayweather early and often.  He didn't do that so the inevitable happened.  The guy who boxes for a living slowly took him out.

But the point i'm making is that was the plan Macgregor was allowed by Mayweather to win those first 3 rds while he evaluated him.

Just now caught your extra edit.  Yeah Conor got his arse kicked after he gassed towards the end of the 7th.  It was a flat out beating in the second half of the 8th, 9th, 10th.

I don't buy it and neither do most of the in-fight and after-fight commentators.  At least so far.

McGregor in the post fight presser threw in a quip about Paulie Malninaggi selling him out to Floyd on what he was working on in his camp...

That was a litttle interesting.

lol.  Conor's just trying to save face so he doesn't get mocked by his opponents back in the UFC when they go back and forth in their pre-fights.

Between the punches to the head and the whiskey, his hangover is going to suuuuck....  Tylenol, pedialyte, and a lot of water after he wakes up.

Especially from ALL those illegal hammer blows to the back of the head.

I was talking about Conor's pain tomorrow.

Mayweather is fine.  The hammer fists weren't that bad.  Conor didn't put full force behind them and Mayweather shrugged them off for the most part.

Not sure if you caught both but there was post fight presser on the PPV channel then a different post fight presser on FS 1 / TSN 182 some quite different opinions.
