Popular Post Kurisu
Tomas Plekanec - Pavol Demitra - Steve Sullivan Vaclav Prospal [A] - Saku Koivu - Patrick Thoresen Jochen Hecht - Eric Belanger - Antti Miettinen Ryan Craig [A] - Scott Nichol - Mike Johnson Mark Streit - Cory Sarich [C] Dan Hamhuis - Joe Corvo Kyle McLaren - Cody Franson Evgeni Nabokov Karri Ramo We would like to welcome Jochen Hecht, Antti Miettinen, and Patrick Thoresen to the Bolts organization! We would also like to say welcome back to Vaclav Prospal, and apologize for the delayed negotiations that resulted in his temporary status as a free agent. We wish all the best to our departures: Mikael Samuelsson, Mark Bell, David Vyborny, and our previous captain Dan Boyle. On that matter, we’re happy to announce longtime Bolt Cory Sarich as our new team captain! Ryan Craig has been promoted to alternate, while legendary Vaclav Prospal will take the other A. The top six forwards will be led by Pavol Demitra and Steve Sullivan once again, with Saku Koivu and Tomas Plekanec also returning in supporting roles. Veteran Vaclav Prospal was brought back to provide reliable scoring, while the young Patrick Thoresen will be handed an opportunity to utilize his offensive talent. The third line features two new wingers in Jochen Hecht and Antti Miettinen, and will be centered by our top playoff performer Eric Belanger. The line looks to have a great mix of skill and two-way ability. The fourth line remains the same as last season, featuring fan favourite Ryan Craig, Mike Johnson, and the resurgent Scott Nichol. While the blueline did suffer a huge loss in Dan Boyle, this will allow Mark Streit to truly take over as our number one. Cory Sarich and Dan Hamhuis will be our defensive pillars in the top four, while Joe Corvo moves up from the third pairing after a stellar 2008 season. The towering third pairing features Kyle McLaren and rookie Cody Franson, who will also be featured on the top powerplay unit. Our goaltending is a point of confidence, with Evgeni Nabokov looking to follow up on his excellent performances after last season’s deadline move. Karri Ramo continues to develop in a backup role as he prepares to be our long-term starter. While we are eventually attempting to move in a younger direction, we fully expect this roster to compete for a low playoff seed. It will be difficult, but we look forward to battling it out with the vastly improved teams in the East such as Atlanta, Philadelphia, and our cross-state rivals the Florida Panthers. 4 4 1

Popular Post Otis
Minnesota Wild Season Preview After a very disappointing first round sweep in Minnesota following a conference final appearance, GM OTTS was unable to get much done this off-season other than have a horrible draft performance. Regardless, Minnesota finished with 117 points last season and should be competing for another division title this season. Minnesota is hoping to see a boost from upgrading the backup goalie position in bringing in Cristobal Huet late in the offseason, Josh Harding struggled in net last season behind Niklas Backstrom posting a sub .88sv%. We are hoping Cristobal can bring that closer to .9sv% and chip in a few extra wins. After having a very strong SHL playoffs, putting up 18 points in 13 games, it seems like Minnesota will be taking a chance and be starting off with young center Lars Eller on the 2nd line, for lack of many other options. That could change if Lars Eller struggles out of the gate, we are optimistic that he can contribute to the lineup as his defensive game we believe to be NHL ready so we will experiment with that early in the season. Projected lineup Michael Ryder - Mikko Koivu [A] - Marian Gaborik [C] Alex Steen - Lars Eller - PM Bouchard Benoit Pouliot - Eric Lindros - Pascal Dupuis Mark Parrish - Marty Reasoner - Joel Ward Robert Lang Brent Burns - Kim Johnsson[A] Nick Schultz - Derek Morris Garnet Exelby - Martin Skoula Niklas Backstrom Cristobal Huet Edited April 17, 2020 by OurTimeToShine 3 5

Monty
Scouting reports on players looking good. Mason and Reimer already NHL ready, which is awesome. Bordson progressing nicely with a higher potential than I originally thought. While not NHL ready, recent later first round picks Loow and Melin have surprising ceilings. Not so good? Rated 29th in season preview. Will need the youth to really step it up.

Popular Post canucklax
St. Louis Blues 2008-2009 Season Opening Roster C Tkachuk-Stamkos-Vyborny Bell-Couture-Backes Oshie-Berglund-Carter Nilson-Kennedy-Adams A Boyle-A Foote Berard-Aucoin Carle-Preissing Boynton-Dandenault Norrena Markannen After two years at the bottom of the standings, St. Louis has turned a corner and looks to compete in the tough Western Conference. Keith Tkachuk has returned after spending a year and a half in Detroit and will serve as the team captain and offensive leader. The league's youngest group of centers will be challenged every night, but supported by a mostly veteran group of wingers. The defense has been completely reworked, and led by veterans Dan Boyle and Adam Foote. Fredrik Norrena has signed to be the every night starter after a journeyman career so far. St. Louis hopes to be the most improved team in the league this year and believes playoffs are a possibility if all the new faces can gel together quickly. 3 4
